I have been taking vitamins for about 6 months. Over that time period I have gained almost ten pounds. If anything I have been eating better. I never used to eat fruit or vegetables, only junk like candy bars and pizza. I have been eating better and exercising the same amount or more. Any suggestions or comments as to why?

"Weight gain is something that many women experience at different times of life and has many different causes. I don't know your situation enough to comment on why you might have put on some pounds, but the vitamins can't be the reason. Vitamins do not cause weight gain--they don't have any calories and they don't change appetite or metabolism. It must be something else in your life that is leading to the weight gain."

No. The right vitamins will help you lose weight because your body won't keep asking for food once it's got the nutrients it needs. Eat all the fresh vegetables and fruits you want! And, don't worry about the initial weight gain. That's perfectly normal when you start working out. You're putting on muscle, which weighs more than fat. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even at rest. So hang in there, the numbers will turn in your favor soon!

vitamins probably make you feel better so you eat more and if you are only exercising th same amount, you will gain weight. you just need to have a little more exercise.

When I started on vitamins, I gained 5 pounds. Since you are exercising, remember, muscle weighs more than fat. Are you more toned up than you use to be?

Most vitamins just go right through your body. It would be very rare if you gained weight from adding these nutrients to your diet.
