Does anyone feel unfulfilled?

How do you define "fulfillment"?

YES!

Sometimes I wake up and think.......how is it that this day feels so much like the last 3000? IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE??? I frequently get this feeling that I'm made for something different and have devoted a great deal of time to sussing out what that is. But I haven't put my finger on it. SO! I just keep trying different things and hope I end up tripping over the right one. I'm learning alot of different things, doing so much more and meeting more people than I really care to but there you have it.

To me, fulfillment is that sense that all is as it should be, on a personal level. Absolute contentment.

I'll keep striving. The alternative is too much to bear.

I was feeling unfulfilled frequently for the past several years. I didn't know what I wanted personally, professionally, educationally, spiritually. . .but I discovered, just this past several months that the key (at least for me) to discovering and maintaining fulfillment was figuring out how to balance all those things. I am now working on my second masters (I truly enjoy learning and school so that fills me educationally). I accepted a position with one of the top 20 universities in the country and am ecstatic about my job, duties and I love my office (that fills me professionally), and make it a point to make time for my husband, family and friends (that fills me emotionally and spiritually), and I accept that there is a higher power that has my best interests at heart and I communicate with that power ever day (additional spiritual fulfillment). And I take time out for myself and "me" time to fill my personal needs. So just maintaining a balance between those things you need and determine you want is the key to the road of fulfillment. . .

YES, I feel unfulfilled! To me, fulfillment to be ist o feel complete security, success, stability and joy in all areas of life including education, work, love, finances, home, health etc... I am working toward all of that and I CANNOT wait until I truly have total fulfillment!

No I dont. I would define it as having most (not all) of the things that are most important to you---(whether it's a great career, spouse, children, wealth, Jesus, etc.). Most people dont have everything but I think we would be "fulfilled" if we could have a few of the things that we hold most dear to our hearts.

yeah, i think nobody feels totally fulfilled, but a lot of people can come mighty close to feeling fulfilled. there's always something that we regret doing or not doing, something that we want but don't have. that's the trouble and the thing about people, we want everything and more.
