As Rachel Ray would say, "Yum-O!"

Garlic would be another good one.

If you only intend to use these flavored beers for cooking, then why bother?

Why not add those flavoring agents to the food? You don't need to create a beer just to carry the other flavor. It's like scooping out a big cup full of flour just so you can spoon it in the dish with a teaspoon.

Don't wreck good beer that way.

Seasoned beers, why not? But for drinking, they should still be good beer, first.

There are many recipes for cooking with Beer. My Favorite is chicken breast or legs marinated in Beer and Knorr's Onion soup. Take a look at some recipes on this About.com site.

As a homebrewer for over eight years, I can tell you that you can add any flavor you want to beer. I've added smoke to beer (great for bar-be-cues), spruce tips, etc.
