Years ago I was approached by an Amway representative. He said he had an experience that was so overwhelming that I needed to hear about it. Open minded, I was then taken to a presentation where an Amway leader preached to me and others about this great opportunity all all that it could deliver. Being an intellectual, over the next few weeks I did some research, and found some of the future claims difficult to believe. I was told to have faith in the business because to be successful I needed to have faith, and those who didn't would surely fail.

I also had some concerns because I had friends telling me that mlm and Amway was merely a scheme, and when I went to the leaders in Amway they told me that in life, we will always find negative people who just do not get it and I should be strong enough to not listen to them.

Have faith, those who don't believe are not enlightened. Succeed thru faith. How is the religious leader telling me this differ from the Amway leader?

More specifically, how does the reasoning for those in AMWAY and other Pyramid Schemes any different than the reasoning for those telling me I should be religious???

Where are all the religious folks who in other questions told me I should have Faith and not listen to negative people and then I would become enlightened?

Are they all out selling Amway products?

The question did indeed fly over the heads of the religious sect.

I merely posted this question because in other questions i have posted in the religion section, whenever I posed a question that was unanswerable, I was labeled as either not having faith, being negative, or destined to pay because of my lack of faith.

I merely pointed out this is the EXACT same logic and responses you get when you question Amway. If the exact same line of reasoning is used to rationalize Amway as is used to rationalize religion, then what gives???

I am not at all saying that religion in bunk, i just happen to think the general masses resort to the easy answers and logic above when presented with any thought provoking question into religion. I suppose the lack of actual response from the religious sect to that point proves it.

Amway is evil. The people that make money in it--the big money--get it by selling tapes on how to make money. Sham. Check this out: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html

Your question about how Amway is different than religion cracks me up. Good question! Here's what I hope is a good answer:

In Amway, your problem is that you are working too hard and not making enough money. You need more free time and money, and you'll get that by spending time with us and listening to these tapes. Here, buy another one...Now go recruit everyone you know! If you join a church, you'll have a nice network to draw on!

In reality, as I understand it, the problem is that we are dead and cut off from God by our sin. The solution is to swap lives--we give up our pathetic one and get Christ's perfect one. Our bodies will still die, and we likely won't be any more "successful." But then they'll be raised to eternal life in a world with NO AMWAY!!! Amway is greed dressed up in church clothes. Being nice, having a nice car and having a huge house...are not part of what Jesus died for.

It's sad that you resort to ridiculing those who answered ur question by saying such false accusations and just plain lies. Your question was not thought provoking because if it was people wouldn't of answered it period. You sought your own mindset instead of wanting real answers from different point of views. I answered and I didn't say any of the things that you posted nor did some of the people who answered also. Shame on! If you have chosen not to believe leave it at that. Don't attack and ridicule to to try and make a point to those who don't argue nor agree with you.
