Photos for passports do show peoples faces on them, it doesn't matter it is required by law, if you don't want to show your face you can sit at home and not travel :)

It is more of their traditions tied to the religions of course. Their ID photos of course will show their faces (and mostly are beautiful faces. I have seen some of them when the family had placed their trust on me as a friend)
I f you have lived in an Arab State where mostly the air is filled fine desert dusts you will understand why they have to cover their faces. Their tradition however is to protect their women from from the prying evil eyes which I cannot blame because they are really beautiful. There are other Godly reasons to that but generally it is what I learned it is.

No offense taken. It is a very good question.
Even though they are in parda their passports show their faces and it is required of them to remove their vails.
Sharia does not say a woman has to cover her face. It is either by choice that she does it or her husband wants her to.

the passport photo must show the whole face, and when you go to the counter you ask for a female to look at the passport , it usually ticks people off but they accomodate you.

Thank you for not trying to offend. You are better than some who do not but try to offend. As for your question, I believe they should be taken to another room with a woman to determined if they are who they are. This way it is a way to protect their religion's belief and our safety.

yes they do have to show, but im pretty sure there is something in their religion that states only a woman can see. so if that be the case only a woman is aloud to identify them by their face and we have to respect that

thats what they have to wear. its almost as if it is a sin to show there beauty before they are married. you could relate it to us as saying that we shouldnt show off our genitals!
