Because Pluto being named as a planet was the original marketing ploy of the Disney Corp. in 1930.

I think the Plutians, as they prefer to be called, don't give a darn what we do or say here. But, for our purposes, their hunk of rock is too danged small to be a planet. We don't know if Charon revolves around it or vice versa, and it also seems to orbit another planet. Pluto's an imposter and has gotten busted.

Look, "god" didn't change jack about the world. It's just the way we humans think that makes stuff happen. The reason you monotheists believe this stuff is because humans are too stupid to figure out why the universe REALLY exists. In my opinion, religion is an excuse for the inabilility of the human race.

One might doubt that a supreme being had anything to do with a human classification of solar system components. If you are in contact with the Plutonians, you might ask them what they think. I have yet to speak with them.
