I live in South Africa and can give you a few of the local words for names but I personally love names that we give to humans...like
Jo or Tess, my lil dog is called Roxy.....for a girl Bella is cute....we also had a dog called Chalrie wich was a hit.
But some zulu names are
Bubezi - Lion
Inja-Dog
kanye-with/together

My oldest son Kenneth use to raise UKC field trial beagles. He found the names Singer, hunter, camo, remington and there were others but those are the names that come to mind. Best of luck with your new family member.
