Somewhere luxurios but cosy for a few nights away. No big named hotel's with 100's of rooms.
Any suggestions?
Anywhere in UK, location isn't an issue.

oh my god,you lucky person!
There is a place in Lancashire called Guy's court,we actually went there on the night after our marriage. They have Jacuzzi rooms a fantastic restaurant and a bar and it's set next to a canal in quite a remote location. The room(jacuzzi one as they do normal ones) for 2 will cost probably now,its a few years since we last went(9 years since marriage) about £64.50(I have just looked) for the night for both of you.
We love it and would go more often but have moved along way away now but we went at least 4 times and it is well worth it.
Look it up I bet it has a website.
In fact you have got me going now and I have the website for you, please look!

I wouldn't call it "luxurious" but it is very nice indeed. It's a self-catering cottage on a farm overlooking the Black Lyne River a mile or so from the Scottish Border.

It's called Bank End Farm, Roadhead, Carlisle in Cumbria. My wife & I stayed there and it's beautiful beyond description. Lodgings clean and comfortable, scenery breathtaking, owners of the property most charming.

Here's a link to their site. The photographs do NOT do the place justice.

Try this chain - they have a variety of hotels (including big city hotels), but also many smaller country retreats.

I know the 2 in Bath, but these don't quite fit your description - the only one that I have been to that does fit is the Bear Hotel in Woodstock - Blenheim Palace is well worth visiting if you do go there.

Try Lavenham in Suffolk.... google it and see what comes up... don't know of anything specific but the village is beautiful and it does have some lovely old pubs and Inns, I'm sure you'll find one you like.
