I guess it's all a coincidence because people see the time at random and when its a number that means something to them, it certainly sticks out the most in their minds. I've checked the time at I've seen 9:11 (am or pm) and at other times, I've seen 11:02 (my birthdate) on many occasions. It's happened to other people I know and they wonder what it means -- if that's the time they'll die or have their first child or mark any other milestone in this life. I guess it all depends on the person really.

I tend to look at clocks at the exact moment they hit a round number (7:30, 10:00, w/e). Eventually, if you look at clocks a lot, it will happen. I check the time nearly every five minutes when I am bored or late.

It's probably because you look at the clock a lot and when it's 9:11 you just tend to remember it more because you actually think about it more than you would at any other tizime. so it's stuck in your memory and 11:23, sadly is forgotten

I tend to look at it all the time at exactly 4:20 and also 12:34. I beleive it is something to do with number sequences having a significance to you capturing you're attention, when at other times you would just glance over it, as the previous responder said.

This doesn't happen to me, but maybe your timer inside you is telling you to look at the clock at 9:11 AM/PM.

Your brain dismisses useless or unconnected information. If it sees meaningful information even in a meaningless context, it captures your attention.
Basically put, you naturally ignore all the other times you glance at the clock and the time has no special personal meaning.

I tend see 9:28 alot, my birthday. Maybe since we focus only on certain numbers, we forget that we also see other numbers when we glance at the clock.

I often look up as the clock reaches the numbers of my old home address. I think we probably are geared by internal timekeeping to look at numbers that hold a strong significance for us.
