I'm in the UK and during a recent census alot of us put 'Jedi Knight' as our religion in the hope it would be lawfully recoginised. It didn't.

Because then this site would be filled with people from the light side, and people from the dark side, and we'd all be claiming that we have the biggest lightsaber.

In Britain, Jedi is now seen an sturdy faith by using fairly a lot of folk in the previous writing it down on national consensus papers. the religion is known and why shouldn't that's? It emphasises duty, risk-free practices of the susceptible and selflessness and meditation to help mirror on previous activities. in fact develop right into a selfless, worrying man or woman and you're on the superb course to turning out to be a Jedi, to develop right into a Jedi Knight which you should to coach your self by way of those skill. in terms of lightsaber wrestle, choose for actual wellbeing, im particular some human beings could elect to take part in lightsaber wrestle yet there are different kinds of known wrestle in society related to weapons, inclusive of Fencing and Kendo. desire this enables!

Bummer, wasn't it?
what really annoyed me is that in the subsequent census i filled in the first page or so of the form and then got to the questions:
Race (optional), &
Religion (mandatory) - religion had no check-box for "atheist", "agnostic", "anti-theist" and not even "Jedi" - what were they telling me, that following an "approved" religion is mandatory?

so I scrawled "RACIST RELIGIONIST BULL" all over the form and submitted it mostly unfulled.

A few weeks later a woman appeared on my doorstep and told me that all she really needed to know was my marital status, so I picked up the phone and dialled directory enquiries - " where do I report sexual harassment?". Seeing her run away gave me my first real understanding of the terms "wobble-bottom" and "speed-wobble".

what's more amazing is that they actually employ people to go house-to-house checking up on us.

which part of "sod-off, I ain't answering your questions" don't they understand?

It was not recognised because you are not 'Jedi Knights', if you want me to prove the existence of God and prove i am a christian, prove you are a Jedi Kight, otherwise i would have to assume you don't exist and i am not actualy typing this message to anyone.

well I put frizbeetarianism on the last census and they accepted it!

just kidding. census's annoy me because they assume you have to be one of a few things, as though everyone fits into boxes.
