Its not wrong!
But that's why they call it faith!
And I tell you I would not want to do what I have done again!
If you were give proof where would your faith be?
in many ways its a catch 22.
You have to have faith to understand
and you cant understand until you have faith
Its not imposable but its damn hard, for one not raised in the faith to come to the faith!
And sadly for some so raised, if there church is not strong in the word, they will leave!
Worse most churches don't understand the word to teach it, and are stuck of you have to have faith.
Believe- as if that is a cure all for lack of understanding.
I do understand where you are at. like looking at someone who just took a jump and landed kinda bad, yep you broke it, yea it hurts, I can feeeel your pain, good try though, G I know whats wrong.
But take this, in every life there is a moment, where things become clear. When that moment comes grab it and live in it!

It's not wrong wanting to know, but you will not have any proof that you can see. Just peace and happiness and knowledge. How do you know that some people can't go on faith alone, you have to try it and say it doesn't work in order to say some people can't do it.

Being inquisitive and curious is how we figure things out. Keep an open mind, and you may find that your heart will be opened to finding out things that you never dreamed of. Everyone is at a different state of mind when it comes to these things, and God does not hate or condemn or punish anyone who has the curiosity to keep the conversation going.
The entire discussion on Yahoo Answers regarding Religion and Spirtuality is a pretty healthy one. Continuing the discussion is a great thing, and who knows where it will lead.

It's not wrong. It's right really, it's just that they have no proof but they want to believe anyway.
Or more to the point, they want to say they know god exists, and that those who don't believe it are being dishonest.
Believing something without proof is not so bad maybe, but claiming to know and expecting others to take you seriously when you have no proof is.

You're absolutely correct of course, because Blind Faith is as bad as being Blind Drunk.
When someone takes excess alcohol it affects their mind and body. Alcohol can drive a person into the evil world of insanity, violence, murder and hatred. We all read about crimes of passion and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess alcohol. This problem is known as being Blind Drunk.
When people are subjected to the brain-washing effects of excess religion it also affects their mind and body. Religion has a history of evil, insanity, murder and hatred. We all read about holy wars and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess religion. This problem is known as Blind Faith.
Notice the commonality of the two – Blind Drunk and Blind Faith, they both affect the commonsense and logic processing of the brain, and can turn otherwise decent people into savage insane murderers full of hatred.
Either way, when you are Blind Drunk or have Blind Faith you are Blind to the Truth, so religious people should say no to religion once and for all, and learn how to be a decent humans being again. Under the influence of Blind Faith the mind suffers a form of madness, and is unable to think or act rationally in many aspects of life's reality.

I think a lady in Guatemala just found Mary on a potato chip. There's your 100% proof. Seriously though, you cant ask for proof on something that is based on faith. That's the old apples and oranges idea again.

I don't see anything wrong with an honest question about this. I can't prove to you that God exists, though I believe he does. I do think it is up to you to explore all evidence available and find out what is real. Don't expect that you will ultimately be excused from responding to what was available to you, had you been honest.

God gave us plenty of proof in the Bible. If you read the Old Testament, He appeared to Moses in a burning bush, yet the bush didn't burn. He spoked audibly to Samuel, Moses, Abraham. He wrestled with Jacob...He parted the Red Sea for the Israelites to be saved. He performed countless miracles before the eyes of many. He healed. He saved. Many still refused to believe even after SEEING WITH THEIR OWN EYES. How can you expect us to be any different? We are NO different.
John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Start praying for God to break down this barrier for you. He will. I pray for you, my friend.

If the truth will set you free, you need to know the truth. Keep on asking questions, no matter what. Anyone who tries to keep you in the dark has hidden agendas. It's called "enlightenment" for a reason.

Different people "see" proof in different ways, which I won't bore you with here. There is nothing wrong with being skeptical.
