Interesting, it's true a lot people are scared away from religion, because it does demand some action and sacrifices of it's followers. I don't think it was really ever meant to be easy.

Many churches emphasize the rules & constraints of Christianity rather than focusing on the relationship with God. Once you have that, the other stuff just comes naturally. It's not as scary or absurd as the liberal media makes it to be.
