I have beliefs, but none that apply to a higher being. I just live on day by day and take things as they come. I don't think there is a heaven or hell, after we die, nothing fancy happens. I believe mainly in myself and the ability I have to do great things as long as I try. I believe friends and family are really what people need, not 'gods'
As far as having more non-believers in here, it's religion and spirituality. You can be spiritual without being religious, and even non believers have a 'religion' of some sort. I could care less either way.

I kind of am a Christian, but not a very good one if you ask a lot of the people I know. I believe that most or all of the stories in the bible did not actually happen (like most of the Christians believe Adam & Eve magically popped into existance) they are only teachings. I am pro-choice, a woman should have the right to control whats in her body to a certain point, but I would prefer to not have an abortion if I was to accidently get myself pregnant. I do not eat any meat because of my personal beliefs. I think that homosexuals should be able to marry anywhere and adopt . And evolution is a fact.
And I agree with you that there needs to be more non-christians in this section!

There are quite a few non-Christians on here.
I follow a Celtic path and honor some Celtic deities. I believe that deities have both positive and negative traits just like anyone else. I do not believe that any deity is all-knowing or all-powerful. I also believe in land and water spirits/deities. I believe in reincarnation and give daily offerings of incense, food and drink at my family altar. I honor my ancestors. I believe in the symbology of a world tree representing the lower (sea), middle (land), and upper (sky) realms. After death, I believe that I will go to the Otherworld to feast before reincarnating again to learn more. I celebrate four agricultural holidays a year---Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtainne, and Lughnasadh. Although I recognize the solstices and equinoxes, I do not celebrate them as religious holidays.

brought up catholic but the dogmatic side of it all doesnt interest me....
I believe that we're all spiritual beings within a body and we give and receive energy from many different things e.g. thats why we feel drained after an arguement or can sense at atmosphere in a room or we feel elated in love or happy around those who respect us and love us back....
its important to always do the right thing and be truthful to yourself and others, even if you are not thanked for it - no 2 people have exactly the same outlook or opinion at any given time....
karma is a tricky one - i believe its not the action itself but the INTENTION BEHIND the action that will determine whether the action was good or bad.
we are all here to learn and not use and abuse if we dont learn in this life then we come back again till we get it right or realise more what its all about.....
dont believe in aliens tho
this is just me personally........

i believe in a god or a higher power! I don't beleive you need to have a orginized realigion to beleive in it!
I go by the golden rule of faith and what comes around goes around!
I guess you would call my relligion a witch or a pagan because i do like the elements of the earth and i have done some rituales... but again i don't follow any single religion! I do what i beleive in and some come from christians, indians, druids, and many other pagan religions!
Mad luv

The closest religion I feel comfortable with is Taoism, although I wouldn't necessarily label myself a 'Taoist'. I consider myself a spiritual person, but not religious.
I'd prefer to separate Religion & Spirituality into separate categories. Sure, they can go hand in hand, but they can definitely exist separately.

I am Kemetic Orthodoxy. I believe in Netjer and the many Names. These are my Gods. My spiritual Mother is Sekhmet. Bast and Serqet are my Beloveds and influence the way I see and communicate with Sekhmet. For information on my religion you can go to http://netjer.org

This is real good way of thinking thats giong to help people more than any religion.
My religion is Hinduism, and I would accept anything good even though it is against my religion and let other know about it. This is how I believe the religion becomes more rational and accepted.

I am not christian, or muslim or any of the 'New religions' I live my life to love my brother and my neighbour and all others too. I worship that which is benign and good. Mother Earth is just that. I am not a do-gooder. I respect the truth of life and nothing else. Which simply means if you were to attack me I would gouge your eyes from your head and feed them to your sister. Apart from that, go in peace brother.
