Al- Quran is made out of prose.. arabic poetry.. that talks about everything.. including some histories of the past. I have read the Qur'an. And found it to be compiled mostly of stories carried over from the Bible. Muhammad was a business man and many people from all over came to his tent. Telling stories of miracles and events they had heard of and saw. Since he couldn't read or write, he relayed these stories from memory. So some of them got mixed up. The Qur'an was written 23 yrs. after the death of Muhammad. It was decided that his teachings should be written down. Some came written on leaves, camels shoulder blades. etc. So the stories varied and contradicted each other. The scholars took the most believable and wrote them down.
