They would look for fingerprints or DNA evidence. Both are always different, even with identical twins. If they had no corroborating evidence, they could not take any action. Although in the past, there have been cases where the Police charged both parties and left it to the courts to decide the guilt. That would only happen if they had really strong evidence that needed to be tested.

This answer is easy! first, your fingerprints would be different even though you look identical, sothere would no fear of the wrong twin being accused. I dont think this has happened before that the wrong one would be imprisioned unless there was a mix up at the Police stn on the fingerprint records. But I dont think this is likely. By the way, when Police examine the fingerprint, the actual print has to have 16 different matching points to the print in crime for it to stand up in a court of Law.

Hi depends what type of crime if was and if they left any finger prints, even though they are twins they have different fingerprints, There is all sorts of test frensics can do. They probably both would be locked up if they didnt know which one was which and who did the crime until they found out and then they would let the twin who didnt do the crime go.

the police can tell you apart by fingerprints and various dna tests. there are also highly trained officers who would question both twins extensively with specific questions to find the one that commited the crime. the innocent one of the two wouldn't be able to answer the questions and the guilty one would be avoiding them- this would be obvious to police.

You extra effective wager! ;-) i might wish so, i'm from a heritage of them... I grew up around twins, my first boyfriend, (while i grew to become into in grade 8 - 12 y/o) grew to become right into a twin and a honey! and my ideal acquaintances went out with acquaintances of theirs interior the comparable grade who have been twins. My ideal chum in Melbourne grew to become right into a twin. while i grew to become into pregnant, I stayed with my Aunty and Uncle who had 4/y/o twins... Yeah i recognize the adaptation, *Smile* Years and a number of different twins later, alongside with my close comparable in u . s . of america, i think of i recognize. Are you a twin? And /or do you recognize the adaptation between twins? Oh the place I stay right here, yet somebody else is relationship (just about defacto) with a fraternal twin. ;-)

i am sure even if you were identical twins, you would have slightly different features, or different allibis therefore one would be able to prove where they was, also the forensics side of policing these days is so advanced i am sure the correct one would be brought to justice, but might be a tough call in the beggining though.

innocent until proven guilty identical twins do have the same dna and someone can not be convitced unless there is over whelming proof so a 50/50 chance of convitcing the right one is not good enough

well if it was such an awful crime i'm sure the FBI would get extreme details as to where both twins were at the time, they would get fingerprints.. stuff like that.

I think even Identical Twins have different DNA so they could do forensic testing.
