You can really go w/ any style of flower. Some of the larger flowers, gerbera daisies or hydrangeas...if your wanting an elegant look, a single calla lily or tiger lily. Also, if your on a very tight budget...I would check out local grocery stores, or even Wal-Mart/Sam's club they usually have fresh flowers (if your doing those) that you can get fairly inexpensive and may even be able to use 1-2 flowers per girl and not go over $20. And craft stores like Michael's, Joann Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart etc for silk flowers. You can usually get clumps of flowers for $1.00 a stem, add a ribbon around the bottom and you have an inexpensive and instant bouquet. I would also go with the flowers that are in season since it will cost you less, and try to limit the roses, those will be more expensive because Valentines being around the corner. Congrats and good luck :)

I know this isn't the most traditional of ideas, but I have one to help you achieve a striking image of your bridesmaids while helping you conserve your budget.
I would go with candles instead of costly flowers. If you get three in colors that go with your themes (2 of each color) and have them made at various heights, they will look absoluly beautiful with your bridesmaids. I would probably go with pillar candles, the kind that are about as thick as a soda can.
The best part about this idea is that you will still have them at the end of the wedding. You can give them to your bridesmaids as their thank you gift, or you can arrange them in your house to remind you of your special day for a very long time. You also don't have to worry about the florist screwing up the order, whether your flowers will arive on time, the flowers wilting prematurely, or any allergies your bridesmaids or guests may have that they don't know about yet.
It's a pretty strange idea, but I think it work wonderfully.

The MOH should carry a smaller version of your bouqet, as for the bridesmaids, a red carnaion maybe, with some baby's breath.

Gerber daisies and calla lilies are going to have the most impact as a single stem. Talk to your florist about this, and see if it would actually be cheaper at this time of year to buy real ones or to buy silk ones (you'd be surprised at how much silk flowers can cost compared to the real thing, especially when you are buying for a wedding). My florist actually will allow me to rent silk ones from their store which is saving me a ton of money since I wanted magnolias included but they aren't blooming that time of year. We are blending silk flowers in with the real roses. See if they offer that option. Good luck to you and congratulations!

Gerber Daisies are a good idea...I used those in my wedding...They arent too pricey yet they are still very pretty...Not to mention that you can get them in several different colors...Maybe a small bunch of those would work...just taped together at the stems with floral tape so they can just hold the stems of the flowers....Hope this helps!

My vote would be a gerber daisy. You can even get silk ones for a little bit of nothing at Hobby Lobby that look real. I have some on my bar now and everyone keeps smelling them! Good luck and congrats.

Well first of all I wish you the best of luck. Honestly don't worry, as long as you do it from the heart, if you think it's going to look okay, you should do it. I'm sure everything will turn out perfect. If you're in love and will have a blast, everything's going to be cool.

Tulips are beautiful but expensive. Gerber daisies might be a better idea-less expensive AND bigger so it doesnt feel weird carring just one flower.
