How about choosing a game like tekken or another game where the player has to press different buttons to make a specific move...and have different people try the move and see how many people can do it.
Your control could be whether or not the person can do it while practicing vs. doing it while fighting or playing against another player....

I would have him journal the foods he eats (or some unsuspecting subject...a younger brother, maybe) on days when he's allowed to play on the PS2 all day and on days when he is banned from all electronics. Have a hypothesis on which day he would choose healthier foods. Let us know the answer.
