Great name by the way. In my opinion when people talk about "Pure Punching Power" the "Hardest Puncher" and your question "Best left hook" everyone seems to gravitate towards the heavyweights, and sure why not? They're big, they seem to have devastating punching power. But I don't agree, I think the further south you go in the weight divisions you'll find some pretty awesome Left Hooks. The Hilton brothers Matt a Davey pretty good left hooks, Matt's better than Davey's, Pipino Cuavez pretty good left hook, Mike McCallum pretty good left hook, Salvador Sanchez, Julio Cesar Cahavez, Roberto Duran, Edwin Rasario, Gabe a Rapheal Ruelas, The Marquez brothers, Carmen Basilo, Gene Fullmer, There are so many to chose from but in my opinion pound for pound one of the Greatest Fighters ever, the man who's motto was "Always end a Hook with a Hook" Sugar Ray Robinson, best left hook ever thrown, with pure precision and devastating power backwards or forwards.

There have been quite a few fighters in boxing history with great left hooks particularly the power punchers but I have to give the nod to Smoking Joe Frazier! Never has a guy thrown such a beautiful left hook as Joe with respect to Floyd Patterson who had a good one too! Anyone that could floor the great Muhammad Ali with one just simply gets my vote.

Although most of the fighters David Tua knockedout were dispatched with the left hook, I still believe Joe Frazier had the best in the business. Although the old boxing saying states "You should never hook with a hooker", could you imagine seeing a match between a prime Frazier and a prime Tua just trading hooks......
