Eating one meal a day is not a good way to lose weight. With that much deprivation, the body will shut down it's metabolism as a reaction to starvation. Much better to eat a litte something healthy every three to four hours and drink a lot of water.

you might lose weight for the first few weeks but after that your body will get use to eating one meal and then if you eat 2 meals you'll gain weight! That nicole richie thing must be a lie and I bet those people are on pills and they do so much drugs that they lose weight.

ok, starvation under no circumstances works. you will drop some weight, yet finally end up doing severe harm to your physique and recommendations. i think of the funniest section is which you will finally end up gaining back double the load you lose interior some months. do no longer do it. a conventional 3 meals an afternoon with exercising a pair days a week could make you drop some weight and save it off. 6 kilos isn't something. maximum people who initiate weight-reduction plan and exercising consultation for the 1st time lose 10-20 kilos interior the 1st week. Six kilos is infrequently something, you are able to lose in 2 weeks. yet starvation isn't the treatment. there's a extra underline subject right here than 6 kilos.

Hi
I would not know how much weight you can lose but try this simple plan it worked for me so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

i've read alot. i usually eat one meal a day. i know its not good/healthy. then i noticed that i was losing weight and i attributed that to eating less. before i used to eat throughout the day but in the last 8 months or so i really cut down since i started working full time.

Well one time i was really sick and my throat was swollen and I had these gross white dots on my tongue and I could barely eat anything for three days and I lost about 10 pounds.
But of course I gained about 3 pounds back again because I started eating but I guessed getting starved helped because it helped me lose 10 pounds and control how much more pounds i wanted to gain by eating less or more food.

I dunno. I think that weight loss does not depend on the number of meals a day that you make. If anything, I believe that only one meal per day will make you gain weight, not loose it.
What you need to do is to have a healthy nutrition rather than fast foods, make the 3 meals per day, and make some kind of excercise.
