i need advice........?

my friends and family tell me my hair is boring and i need to liven it up, has anybody got some advice?

Well you can always try highlights, if you really want to, you could try something new and funky, something you haven't tried before. Or maybe a new hair cut is the thing you're looking for. Try looking through some magazines at the hair styles, and find something you like. Its an easy way, just find a picture you like and go to the hair dresser and ask them to get it as close as they can. Also you have to bare in mind that you get what you pay for. If you really want to look good, go to somewhere that knows what their doing. Not somewhere thats the cheapest deal you can find.

Also accessorise your hair when you tie it up. Try some different hair-do, tie it up in a different way. Or maybe when you wanna be quick and simple, just tie it back in a ponytail and tie a scarf around the tie. That way you can use any tie you want and cover it up, also draw attetion to your hair. Your another simple way is braids or plaits, maybe even a head band.

What do YOU think? That's all that matters. If you agree then go to a professional and see what they say. Make some consultation appointments, but ask if they charge, some do and some don't. You might also want to check out a few hair magazines and see what you can find. Take it with you when you go to your consultations. Find a stylist that talks to you, looks you in the eye and has some real good solid ideas for your hair. Your stylist has to be on the same page as you. Keep looking until you find one you feel comfy with. There are tons of stylists out there.

Hi, the best thing to do is go into a hair salon and have a free consultation. Ask their advice and have a look through a couple of hair magazines and see what they think. Also go into department stores and try on different colour wigs to see what styles and colours suit you. Look for celebrities in magazines with similar shaped faces as yours and take inspiration from them!

My wife has thick platinum chunks & I love it. If you have bangs have your hair dresser make those highlights thin. Bring in a picture of all the styles you think look best & ask her what style is best for you. Let her know if you have cowlicks (?) if she wants to give you bangs & ask her what the end result will look like. Ask your family & friends to contribute to the bill since they have all expresed such intrest in altering your image.
Important: Don't forgert to ask the hair dresser which style you can maintain yourself, every single product you need to purchace in order to maintain it (what size curling & flat Iron & brand, which shine spray, My wife likes Goldwell's Shine Spray), how to maintain it, & how $much$ do all of these products run aprox.?

Hi i tell them to shut up because you like it that way, no one has the right to tell you to do something with your hair.it just knocks you confidence, and makes you feel paranoid because you feel everyone thinks your hair is boring. If you really do want a change, then just go and get it cut into a style that suits you and apply a bit of semi permenant colour and you will be fine. In furture if your happy with the way you look, dont listen to other people.

You could liven it up with simple blonde streaks...or piece it through a bit more...but with blonde streaks you can wear your hair about any way you want to. Good luck livening it up...but don't go overboard :)

dont change your hair for anyone, remember, it could drop out and I am sure your family and friends will have something to say about that too.

If your hair is 'boring', I mean like long, unlayered (like Jennifer Aniston)as long as you maintain the shine by trimming every 6 weeks, not brushing the hair when wet etc you should be fine.

i think it is good to see a woman with long hair, especially if it is in good conditon,

Get a wash in wash out colour to liven things up, that way if you decide you dont like it it dont matter!

the best thing that you can do is go to the beauty palor and do not color it just tell them to cut it in layers then eiether you can curl it fliped up in the back or down, Curls are never boring and layers show that you are grown and sexy all the time, even if you just have on normal jeans and sneakers.
