Find a day spa in your area, and get her a facial or a manicure. If possible, buy the same for yourself, and have a "girls day" at the spa.

A little time for herself, or with someone important, is probably the best thing she could get.

A concert ticket if she likes concerts. CDs of music that was popular when she was in high school or college. A framed picture of you and/or your children. A subscription to a magazine she likes. Take her to her favorite place for dinner, or if she doesn't like to go out, buy her some good steaks or seafood for her freezer. A bottle of wine. A bottle of Scotch. My daughters give me wine and Scotch which I could never afford. One daughter gave me new cookie sheets one year with the provision that I get rid of all my old grungy ones...fabulous! Good books. Gift certificate that can be used on-line or in a catalog.

make her a card it will be unique and she should appreciate that you have taken the time to do something for her, also give her a token book, let me explain that one for you buy a blank book and in it write daily tasks like washing the dishes, tidying the yard, vaccuming the house making her cup of tea get the drift and on each page pledge that you will do the things that she will tear out of this book to give you to do each day or whenever she decides to ask for help

Mine always wants a no work day...a clean house, cooked meal, no messy clean up, surrounded by cheerful loving family, a thoughtful meaningful card, and the like. Most of it is free.

How about one of those crystal like things that you hang in a window that glitter when the sun hits them. I always see women that like these. Or, a gift certificate to her favorite eating place will always work. She will go out for that. Good luck to ya!!!GaryT

How about a manicure and a pedicure and you can get one too. You could take her to lunch and then get the mani's and the pedi's together...then you can spend some time with each other and get her pampered as well. I do that with my Mom and she loves it. Good luck!

You could just not get her anything but do something nice for her, like making her or taking her to dinner
