Hmm.. Heres the dea, my three year old cat is a very sweet and playful cat, and like it is kinda funny cuz when she get all gyper and wants you to play with her, she runs around house growling...hmm...she also sits like a human, lies flat on her stomach, and lies flat on her back too. hee hee!

Dogs give of "calming signals" when they are stressed ie: lick their lips, turn their head away. Maybe the behaviors your cat exhibits are calming signal s for cats! I have three cats. One of them can growl and sit like a human and they all do the other stuff like yours does.

My Male cat does the same thing....He also sits like a human, lays on the bed with his head on the pillow, answers the phone, and plays "air hockey" with my son...Cat's are A LOT smarter than people give them credit for .She is just calling out to you. Just like you call out to her when you want to "play" with her. Good Luck! Cat's are VERY special!

I honestly don't see the question here, are you asking why it growls? if so its because thats what it does. There is no reason for it.
My gramms has a duck who thinks its a rooster, so go figure. It will perch his head way up and only come out with a quack its soooo funny.

when your cat growls it is a sign of emotion usually like hunting, as for the ling on her back or siting with her stomach exposed it is a compliment to you,(she feels safe).

sounds like shes just playing I'm assuming shes never bit you or anything. But you know all cats have attitude. As long as she is just playing i wouldnt worry about it
