but I am getting bloody tired of the Christians who have been trying to shove their beliefs down my throat here today.

JESUS IS NOT THE CREATOR OR THE SAVIOUR OF ALL. YOU CAN NOT USE THE BIBLE TO PROVE THAT THE BIBLE IS TRUE. CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT JUSTIFYING A PATRIARCHAL, HIERARCHAL SYSTEM AND I WILL NOT, EVEN UNDER TORTURE, ACCEPT IT.

If you want to preach go stand on a street corner or something and stop wasting our time. If you want to ask questions and give your point of view, great. But stop condeming everybody.

so, now that I've got that off my chest, what do you all think?

You have a point there. There ARE Christians who ram their beliefs down our throats. However, not all Christians are like that. I'm not Christian myself. I'm Agnostic. And I understand what you're saying. I don't like it either.

Dude, I think there's somebody you should talk to on this matter. You know who I mean. My good pal J.C.

Anyway, why are you on here if it's bothering you? Go somewhere else. How can you sit there and scream Jesus is not the creator and savior of all. Not to mention everything else you said. That's just as intolerant as you're saying people are. Another thing. Quite often when I'm preaching/speaking my beliefs. It's for the sake of other christians. Because if you don't believe then what's the point of trying to convince you? The best I can do is be kind and pray.

I think it's obvious everything people saying is messing with your head. You're compelled to read all this stuff, some parts of you wants to believe it, yet a larger part of yourself doesn't. So you get mad and yell. Anger shows fear. If what people are saying frightens you I suggest you stop reading scary questions.

Funny and great way to put your question, and that is coming from a Christian. I'm sorry that so many people are trying to shove religion down the throat, that isn't right.
Your right as to proving the Bible is truth from the Bible, that is really dumb. Most people that do that is doing it more on faith than proof. One must take science and how things work, compare it with the Bible and go from there.
I don't agree with people going out on the street corners and I don't agree with people coming to our doors knocking on them handing out pamplets if that is the way you spell it.
When a person is ready to except realigion then they will seek it, they don't need anyone trying to shove it down your throat or preach to you.
So you saying what you feel is great and I hope that it does stop, that way when you or if you ever do decide to look into realigion then you won't have all these bad memorys of people trying to shove things down your throat. Have a Great Day!

I am a Christian and I hear what you are saying. You are entitled to your beliefs and I am entitled to mine. I have been through a lot in my life considering my age. Not by choice. And I will stand by my beliefs in my religion til because it has gotten through all of those problems and I have remained positive and grounded. I apologize for whomever is torturing you with argument for I believe only God can judge. I know right from wrong and how I should treat others and I try to act accordingly. I am only human. I hope that you have some sort of positive spiritual guidance-fuel that helps you daily and in hard times. I also pray that that fuel is not just argument and hatred for Christianity. On that note I hope you have a good day.

Are we so close to you that we can actually do that?
I never would do that. I love the Lord tremendously and to shove Him down your throat...well that... that would just be wrong. And your right I can't prove to you that the bible is real but I can prove that Jesus is real.
He saved me from lots of things and healed me of sicknesses and saved my marriage. and I am sorry that there are so called Christians out there that condemn you. They need to repent and get get over their offenses. The only way the bible is real to someone is when they give their lives to the Lord. It's your choice what you decide to do with that. The bible is very real to me. Every promise that he says I have, I have. Thanks for taking the time to read my answer. I hope you come across real christians in your life time.

I think you need to chill. Seriously. I agree that there are way too many people on here trying to force their beliefs down eachothers throats. But, that is exactly what you are doing. It's kind of a double standard, ins't it? I agree that nobody should try to force you to believe what they believe, but who are you to tell them that they are wrong? You are right about not being able to use the bible to prove that the bible is right. But, what do you have to prove that it isn't correct? A book written by some synical person that claims to have been enlightened with the truth? Nobody can prove that there is a God and nobody can prove that there is not. This is a very overplayed arguement that is really getting on my nerves. If you believe in God, great. Don't try to force your beliefs on anyone. If you don't believe in God, great. Don't tell people that do believe that they are wrong.

I think you have a lot of personal issues or problems.

Why else would someone who is obviously an atheist torture themselves by answering questions in the Religion & Spiritual section when it makes them angry like yourself?

Nobody here on Yahoo!Answers is trying to shove any of their beliefs down your throat. You are doing that to yrself by going there on yr own according. And nobody is expecting you to accept their belief. You accept it when you want to.

I think you would come here to complain when you see a preacher on the street corner anyway.

You are entitled to your own beliefs. No man nor woman can take that away from you. I would like to explore things a bit further, and try to establish why it is that people tend to shove their beliefs down other people's throats. You know, it's not just Christians whom are guilty of it. I think that people believe that the end of time has come, and that we have to try and save as many people as we can. But the reality is that you will have to save yourself.

I want to post something that enlightens you, rather than offends you. But can you be open minded? You sound as though you are on the defensive, and I doubt that you can honestly remain objective about things in this state of mind. That little modicum notwithstanding, I want to express a few thoughts.

No, technically speaking, Jesus is not the creator. God, the father, is- according to the Christian belief.

But, you are absolutely correct- the Bible cannot be used to prove anything. But then, what shall we all agree upon that can be used to constitute proof? What are the criteria which must be met in order to serve the function of proving something?

You see, the problem is that nothing proves anything else. However, it may heavily SUGGEST that something is true. In the end, all evidence is circumstantial. Laws do not prove anything. Books do not prove anything. In fact, there is no such thing as ironclad, incontrovertible proof for anything in the universe. So, there are some things that we must accept as being true, even though we may not like them, nor agree with them.

Some people are beyond reach. Your remarks really indicate to me that you are not willing to listen to those whom you disagree with. That is a shame. Why can you not allow people with different belief systems communicate with you? You might actually learn something.

It is not our solemn duty to condemn anyone. None of us have the right to judge anyone else. We all commit sins, and in that regard, we are all imperfect. None of us is better than anyone else.

God loves you, even though you obviously do not love him.

Human nature is a funny thing. You're in your room, looking for the answers to life's great questions. The truth comes knocking on your door, and you unceremoniously say "Go away- I'm looking for the truth." And, it goes away.

I assure you, you need not worry about being tortured by people. That sort of thing was done during the dark ages- centuries of pain. That was the time of the Inquisition. You should have freedom of religion- or the lack thereof.

So, what then do you believe in? In what or in whom do you place your faith? What has caused you to be so narrow minded towards Christianity? Has someone hurt you before? Have you suffered a loss? What has led you to this very empty place in life? Don't you think it would be better to be open minded?

Why do you reject Christ? What has he done to you? Or, what do you think that he has done to you?

Some people are out there to hurt you. But some of them do really want to help.

Where do you think that you- that is, your soul- will go once your time on earth is finished?

Just consider it for a while. Think about the afterlife.

If you want to ask questions, remember that you may not like what you hear in response. If you want to seek the truth, it may turn out to be lovely, or it may turn out to be very painful to face.

Modern Christians are anything but followers of the original teaching of Christ. It is a very subtle message that is hidden and disguised by so many devices and dogma to perverse the true religion of Allah.

It is so destructive that the Western Christian colonizers have been resorting to such barbaric measures to destroy Islam and the original teachings of the the Bible.
