Sounds like Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Mine flares up when I get stressed out. People don't realise that the pain spreads to your back. I saw the GP who gave me Colofac tablets which contain Mebeverine to stop the spasms. If I feel an attack coming on I take 2 tablets to decrease the severity and length of the symptoms. If I don't catch it in time, it can last a week. GP says it's like a migraine, you need to catch it before it really flares up otherwise medication won't work. Don't take Ibuprofen, it can make symptoms worse, try Paracetamol instead.

It's probably just a stress reaction, but it wont harm to get it checked out by your GP to rule out any other possible cause.
The stomach is closely tied to the nervous system, when the mind feels threatened it reacts by preparing the body for the well known 'fight or flight' response, this release of adrenaline into the bloodstream and increased heart rate can cause a number of unpleasant symptoms.

Stress has a way with messing with our bodies...and I definitely think this was stress-related. This always happens to me when I'm with certain people my stomach hurts and I feel a little sick and my head hurts....and since the pains stopped after you left the job, which was causing problems, I say it definitely has to do with stress. But double-check with a professional.

There is a posibility for this to be stress related but the fact the pain moved to your back is more suggestive or a urinary or kidney infection. There are many possibilities so I would reccomend you take a trip to see your GP just to get checked over. xx

I had my gallbladder bumped off 12 years in the past and easily had 2 flareups till now an acute attack that brought about emergency surgical technique. i observed that in the time of advance of the assaults that I had eaten a plenty fattier meal than wide-spread interior the previous 24 hours. in case you have a kinfolk heritage of gallbladder subjects, this additionally makes it extra likley you have gotten problems.

sounds like stress related doesnt it. some people get palpitations, some bad heads, others get stomach problems. If they stopped when you left the job you've answered your own question.
