I met my husband online about 7 years ago on Love@aol. We are happily married and are soulmates. I can't imagine my life without him.

Congratulations!
My husband and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary and now have a two month old son. Although we met a little bit differently (a mutual friend introduced us) we began to talk on the internet, progressed to the phone and then ended up meeting. We lived in two different states. Now I live in his and we're as happy as can be! Believe it or not, we've never even had a heated debate! I think a lot of is due to the fact that we started out having to make sure our lines of communication were open and couldn't take for granted what the other was saying. I never thought I'd meet someone over the computer and never believed in internet dating but we're living proof it can work if you have the right mentality.

Funny you should ask. Being that I was in my late forties, and thinking I would never meet anyone nice. I met my husband in an x-rated chat room. I was showing my girlfriend my new computer and in trying to coax her into getting one I was showing her the different chat rooms you can get into. I went to this site and she suggested this one room that I would have not normally went into. He came online and we chatted for a little, surprisingly not about anything x-rated. After my friend left we continued to talk, but left the chat room and used instant messenger. Then after about two hours of that, he called me. We talked on the phone from 1am till 9am, still very little about anything x-rated. We had our first meeting that following Saturday (after calling each other all week), and we have been together ever since. We got married four years later on the exact day of our first talking online. He met my family about a year and a half after we met ( I live a distant from my family), and they all loved him considering the fact the he's white and I'm black. His sisters accepted me very well. It took his parents a little time at first but after they got to know me they liked me a lot. This coming February will be our 3rd anniversary. I love him more now than I did when we met. Goes to show, I guess good things can come to those who wait.
