You can get a copy from the IRS for a fee (check their website www.irs.gov), but it takes several weeks.

LOL I work in a financial aid office, in fact I am at work right now.... not working, obviously. Anyways the number is 1-800-829-1040, its an IRS number you can call and request a copy of your 1040's. But it can take 2 to 4 weeks.... its about the same speed as ordering it off the website. Also if you did it at a H&R Block, or similiar tax service establishment, whip out the phone book and give them a call they can probabley get you a full copy alot quicker, but most likely for a fee.
But you diffentely dont want to turn in your Financial Aid forms with incorrect data, then it can cause you more pain in the *** paperwork down the road.

You should always keep a copy of every tax return you file, no one is going to do it for you, its not their responsibility.

Who did your return? If you used an accountant or H&R Block they'll have a copy.

Call the IRS. Once they have been assured that you are YOU, they will send you a copy.
