My question was NOT "Is murder ok"

My question is if someone follows the concious that God gave them, and they are under the impression that acts they've commited served God/Allah/etc even though most of us believe otherwise, did they sin?

- If someone murders because they truely believe they are doing the right thing and what God wants, have they sinned? (and YES, the bible does say non-believers should be killed in Chronicles, Jeremiah, and Deuteronomy)

- If someone marries several women because they believe its what God wants, have they sinned?

or better yet

- If someone protests a military funeral because they hate gays, and believe that this is what God wants them to do...have they sinned?

Some people lack the ability to clearly discern wrong from right, much the way that someone colour blind would have difficulty discerning colours, or someone tone deaf would have difficulty discerning tunes. Some people have a corrupted or compromised moral compass. These difficulties in discerning right from wrong do not mean that no sin has been committed; just merely that the culpability for committing those sins can be mitigated to a degree. Evil still must be stopped.

Gods will (I'm a Christian so I won't discuss Allah, as it would be out of ingnorrance) is clearly defined. Let's take the New King James Version of the Bible as an example.

Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder." Pretty clear cut. Now, in this light, whereas when God commanded the Hebrews to fight and kill was it murder? No. Why? They were commanded by God and God is the law.

Websters online: Murder: 1 : to kill (a human being) unlawfully and with premeditated malice.

Your second question in regards to polygamy. If someone believes it's what God wants... Mathew 19:4-5 defines marriage.

And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, 5 and said, `FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?

Websters online: 1 a (1) : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law

So...if they believe it's what God wants and know the word, yes, it's a sin.

Ok, your last question...I'm not sure I understand your question. I'll take your question as it is literally stated. Answer, no. We do have the right of free speech and I don't recall anywhere in the Bible it stating you can't protest. Hate is another issue. As Jesus stated, we are to love one another Mathew 19:19 19 "Honor your father and your mother, and "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." So, to hate is a sin, but not to protest.

Here is a biblical defintion of sin from Eatons Bible Dictionary:
Sin is "any want of conformity unto or transgression of the law of God" (1 John 3:4; Romans 4:15), in the inward state and habit of the soul, as well as in the outward conduct of the life, whether by omission or commission (Romans 6:12-17; 7:5-24).

So I take from your main statement at the beginning of your question, if you follow your conscience and believe you are doing God's will, even though most people may disagree with you, are you sinning? It doesn't really matter what other people think, only your actions in regards to God's law. So if you are not contrary to Gods law, than no, if yes, then yes.

People sin when they go against the will of God, no matter what the people thought at the time. What is right or wrong is not dependent upon people's thoughts and opinions, but on the unchanging will of God. The only way to do something wrong and not sin is to do the wrong unintentionally or to prevent a greater wrong. For instance, if you steal a car in order to take someone who is dying to the hospital where he can be saved, even the law recognizes that the theft was necessary.

1)As far as killing~~~If you kill people just because they believe in something different~~~that is wrong~~in your words ~~~a sin. If you kill to protect innocent people from an evil force~~~Let's say Hitler and his army ~~~then it's not wrong~~in your words ~~not a sin. 2) I don't think a marriage should involve more than two people, but that is MY opinion~~SO in other words~~ Make up your own mind(as long as everyone's over 18 and o.k with what they're getting into. 3) No one should protest at a funeral!!!! Not a sin~JUST really wrong.

If a person ever truly accepted the Lord as their Savior, they would not believe that doing the opposite of what God tells us is "serving God". I mean obviously a person could be confused with Satan speaking to them if the person never prayed to God and asked forgiveness of their sins. This type of person you've described in your Q needs counseling. A christian counselor would be best. Maybe this person could be Satan Oppressed. Not Possessed. Even a Christian could be Satan oppressed. A christian could not be possessed by Satan. There is a difference between the two.

At anytime, no matter what a person says or does, if they truly are motivated by hate, they are wrong (sin). These people who commit these acts think they know the spirit of God and they do not.

I feel sorrow in my heart for all the victims that have to endure these vicious people.....

Thats a tough one...

First, God is not the only influence in our lives. So how are we to know if it the right one to listen to? Satan can make you feel as of someting may be right when it is not.

Yes they have sinned but can ask for forgivness (like a temporary insanity plea) and He will know if they were sincere in thier thoughts when they thought they were doing his will. But if you are truly inviting the spirit of God to dwell within you then Satan can no longer effect you as easily.

To sin is to do something that will not satisfy God or something that's contrary to His rules mentioned in the heavenly religions.

So when someone knows REALLY what Allah (or God) wants and what makes Him happy and do it, then it can't be a sin.

It's a sin if it goes against God's whishes - even if that person believes it was God who told them to do it. A lot of people feel they should do something and then justify it with God. God ask us to love each other. He never told us to hate sinners, but to show them love and compassion.
