I have heard that if you're in choir but don't know the words, you should mouth the word "watermelon" because it has enough mouth movements that it will look like you are singing along. I've heard something similar about the phrase "peas and carrots".

No. But one time when I was in Drama class, I spoke in an eastern European accent, but spoke gibberish. Some people actually thought I was speaking a foreign language or something. It was cool.
