LAst night I was making dinner and needed some milk as an ingredient, i noticed we were out so i ran up to the convenience store and bought a half gallon of milk. Went home and cooked with it. After my whole family ate dinner my fiance went to take a drink of the milk and spit it out, he looked at the expiration date and it was Aug 18, 10 days ago! I think this is disgusting! and I want to know what you would do becuase it is iidiculous that a store would sell me milk after it expired that long ago!

it is ridiculos you should go back to the store and tell the person in charge about the milk, you should also check the date while buying milk always.

Your first thought would be to return it. But the guy at the store would say you took a good carton and switched it with one you had in your fridge.
Just chalk it up to experience. Always check the date on the milk----especially at this store.

You could call the local board of health. If they get a number of calls, they'll take action.

basically like soy milk, unopened almond milk could be saved on the shelf indefinitely (or a minimum of for an extremely long term) devoid of degrading. of direction once you're preserving extra almond/soy milk in storage, you pick to maintain it in a funky place (like a kitchen pantry) to be certain. the reason some almond and soy milks are refrigerated and a few are not is partly elementary merchandising and marketing (refrigerated soy/almond milk basically seems somewhat extra like how one might think of a milk-like product *ought* to be bought), and partly basically using fact various human beings pick their milk product to be chilled until now they purchase it, so it particularly is enjoyed chilly on the instant. the thought with the expiration dates is which you're possibly to open the carton rather rapidly and after that the product will (ultimately) circulate undesirable, in spite of the shown fact that it takes a jointly as. yet another clarification for the expiration dates is basically so purchasers will experience comforted understanding that they have have been given a clean product. desire this information is helpful. i admire almond milk myself, and nevertheless i purchase it regularly, i take advantage of sufficient to warrant preserving a backup field interior the cabinet.

I would take it back! I would make a big stink about it too, make sure there are lots of people "shopping" when you do. Then I would make sure I get an e-mail for the head quarters and let them know about it. Last I would call the healt dept and get ahold of the health inspector and tell them about it and maybe they will do a pop in investegation and get a fine for it!

You should go buy in another store from now on. The store's probably late in shipping. Go to famous stores in your area.
