There's been some reciprocation, but the feeling is definitely not equal, and I just want to get over the crush. Ideally, I'd like to become friends.

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying bits of all of them, except the cutting him off completely. In actuality, he has been nice to me; the only cruelty is me not getting what I want, which really is my own damn problem. I know that. I also am looking into other guys, but I feel a part of me lingering. I feel so stupid about it. Just want to let it go.

Get busy with other things in your life. Sports and academics maybe. Stop thinking about your crush as a crush but as a friend that would have to be the first step.

The best way is to focus on things that are important in your life right now and keep busy with that. Whether it be friends, school, family, charity work, clubs, sports... remember that a crush won't get you through life.
