OMG, I was just talking about this to my daycare provider this morning.
I never had to try it, but the whole thing sounded ridiculous, giving your teddy bear and your kid a huge party.
You just have to keep working with your kid, it will come to them.

I tried a similar method before Dr. Phil was known to me. I'd try it , it can't hurt. My daughter was trained in a day.

I really think it depends on the kid. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy who has a very slight interest in the potty. He loves to wear the underpants but he doesnt stop long enough to even realize he has to go. My girl was way different, she wanted to potty. I took her in the bathroom evertime i went. She tought she was a big girl. The rewards or praise hasnt worked on my son so far.

When his playmate daughter-in-law has kids of her own, let's see how effective Dr. Phil really is. I bet he wants nothing to do with his own family.
