I'm sorry but it's kind of weird that your very first date with this girl will be a wedding where you don't know anyone else and in which you are so far away from home that you have to stay overnight. Bad idea. What if you don't hit it off with her or don't connect? Then you're stuck with her (or her with you) for hours and hours. Not a good idea. I think it's best that you politely refuse her. However if you do like her and want to go out, maybe you can go on a few dates before the wedding and decide then if you want to go. I just think for a first date - a wedding is a definite no. Good luck.

You could say you completely forgot about it, and make different plans. But that would be lying so you might not want to do that. Also, if you don't want to go tell her the truth, that's what women like the best. Or you could just go, and see how you feel about her after being with her for more than a couple hours. It could be a learning expirence for the both of you.

A wedding is not a first date kind of thing. I think she's either rushing things, or doesnt care about weddings that much.

An overnighter? Cmon. I'd question her motives.

i don't know man. being stuck with a girl at a wedding is a little scary. some women take that as a big statement. of course she might just need a date. go and be a "wedding crasher". Heh!

I don't think so. It sounds prematurely romantic. I think she might get caught up in a fantasy, which could freak you out. She's better off taking an old girlfriend. If you along, I think you're being kind of wussy.

um...I'd tell her no. I wedding isn't very appropriate for a first date, because she'll be the only one you know, and you don't even REALLY know her!
