I like your avatar! I bet if you distracted yourself for just a little while, something will happen that will cheer you up and you won't believe you were down. Self-help anti-depression treatment:
Step 1: Drink some water. It's amazing how dehydration can make a person feel down, even give you head ache.
Step 2: Go someplace, preferrably outside, if weather permits. Sunshine and fresh air can seem like a miraculous cure to the blues!
Step 3: Find someone to help out with something. Nothing cheers me up like the feeling that I've helped someone else.

Oh, and thanks for cheering me up!

Life isn't always fair, but there's a dawn after the darkness, so it is said. Things may not be going well right now, but nothing stays the same. Are you a spiritual person? Do you believe in God and the power of prayer? Amazing how this works. Whenever I'm in a funk, I rely on prayer.

I'm willing to bet that the cause of your sadness has to do with a failed romance. I'm also guessing that you're a young person. Well, dear, let me say this -- you will fall in love many times until you find that special someone. Right now, you may be upset, but that feeling will pass. So tell me, am I good mind reader, or should I go back to playing mah jongg?

Anyway, cheer up. Write back and let us know how you solved your problem. Somebody cares..... I care.

I totally understand! I'm going thru the same thing right now! How I cheer myself up is to think of all the things that are great about me, and my life, no matter how small.
Then I try to find ways of taking actions to improve the things I don't like. It helps me to write all this down. And I feel better knowing I'm doing SOMETHING to improve things. Oh, and then there's my dog, playing with him always cheers me up for a little while!

Hang in there, life is constantly changing, everything passes and something else begins.

I'll tell you something nice and funny, but you have to promise to go get a tall glass of water and drink it down. Water really is the elixir of life and helps take the bite out of the saddies. The nice thing is this: I think some of the funniest, coolest people hang out on Yahoo! Answers, and you are one of them. OK, so some are real losers, but there are alot of clever people out here. You are in some great company. Forget your woes, and answer or just read other peoples. They always make me laugh (out loud, and I'm over 40 and rarely laugh)!

When life isn't going the way YOU would like, it is because GOD has better ideas....

Challenges are opportunities for you to find out just how wonderful you are.....

Ask yourself, "What would LOVE do now?" and be the best version of that you can be.....

Tangible is temporary.
Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.
Enjoy being you here..... even when it seems like such a hassle.

Change is dependable.
Your happy destiny is unavoidable.

You are not a starving child in Africa
You have the ability to surf the internet and express yourself
You are not bed ridden and eaten alive by a disease

Need I go on?

Have a nice day...

Make sure you try to keep your head up and remember that you do have control over your life and you can turn it around. We all have bumps in the road of life. Just remember you are not alone! Feel better :0)

You are a warm, kind, loving person and you deserve to be treated with respect. When I feel bad, I read funny tabloids that lie so much its funny. Funny books, tv shows, and movies are also good. And exercising.
