Been seeing him for 6 months now, we are together every day for at least 8 hours, to me it seems like I should have seen his true colors by now, I know he's seen mine. Seems like in other relationships things would have changed in this amount of time but this one is different. What do you think? Guys can you hold out for 6 months of seeing someone for hours daily and not let your trueself out? I guess the reason I have doubts is that he was a friend of my best friends for years and years and she said either else he has completely changed to win my heart or he's putting on a damn good show.

No I do not work with him, we just see each other as soon as we got off work and are together for the remainder of the evening.

Oh and I have known him socially, not as really close friends or anything, for 2 years.

You may be seeing who he truly is in this moment but that could change in the blink of an eye. As people we are continuously changing because it is inevitable. The thing to consider is that if he changes, will you still want him even if the changes are not bad ones. I was with my ex husband for 3 years before we married and I didn't really see some of his true colors until a couple of months after we married. One thing is true about people generally, who you are at your core remains the same. Some people are good at their core and go on to do bad things but then later come back to their core roots. Some people are bad to the core, do good things but come back to their bad core. It's a gamble. Just enjoy the good times but never fool yourself into believing that you truly know anyone including yourself.

6 months isn't really all that long. I've seen people hide their true colors for years. The true colors come out when things go wrong and the relationship gets tough. As long as things are great then you don't really see that other side of someone.

it's a damn good shoe because you really don't know someone until you have lived with them... This man has not even showed you the surface of who he is... You need more time to understand just who he is... He may have shown you some things on him that are true, but the real Slim shady has not shown up yet... So just be careful and watch, look and listen

I am a male and I can hold on longer than that -- I didn't feel comfortable in front my wife until we got married and lived with each other for 6 months-- we knew each other for about 3 years and dated for at least 9 months --

6 mos is not enough time. how many times have you heard that someone changes "after" we got married...??? give it time. even though you know you have revealed your true self, maybe he hasn't. oh yea, listen to your BEST friend. don't be fooled. he could change in a heartbeat. he might be real, but only MORE time will tell. don't make a mistake. a broken heart or having that feeling of being taken advantage of is not fun...trust me...!!! good luck. follow your heart...

Live together , somehow people can still hide things about them when they do have there own plave and when you are paying bills and making a life toegther. At that point you are able to see if there ways work with your ways

you never see someone's true colors until you live with them and are with them 24/7 for a period of time. not saying that he's putting on an act but trust me there are differences!

he's either putting on a damn good show or he's really sincere. I know for a fact I could string along someone if i wanted to for as long as i wanted, i wouldn't cause it's heartless but i could.

Red...........sounds like you are working with the guy. Work actions and what he does in his personal life are two complete different things. I would go with the word of your friend, if you trust her.
