You continue to have a period and no, you don't become manly because your ovaries continue to produce estrogen just as they did before the tubal. No need for hormones. I had my tubes tied ten years ago when I was 23! The surgery is quick and painless and it is done laparoscopically...no scars at all!

No. The ovaries are still there, so you are still producing female hormones and having menstrual cycles; it's just that eggs cannot get down the Fallopian tubes to be fertilised.

If however, you had a hysterectomy, you would be put on hormones if you took on manly characteristics which became a problem, such as excess hair. You would also not have periods because of the obvious absence of the womb.

NO, NO, NO!! It is just a form of birth control. I had mine done a few years ago. I am not manly and I don't take hormones. It's not like getting a hysterectomy. They are just clamping your tubes and that's it. You can still become pregnant, but it is rare. And yes, I still have periods. Talk to your OB/GYN about it or go to www.webmd.com I have had no side effects at all. My periods are still the same.

No! As a matter of fact, mine became worse! You do not become manly or take hormones. You just don't become pregnant again. It is a great form of birth control, but I know a lot of women that it made periods worse.

I certainly have my tubes tied. you nonetheless have a era because of the fact your lining stick thickens for an egg implantation. The egg basically under no circumstances drops down because of the fact it truly is course is blocked. there's no risk-free surgical technique to end a era yet there are some delivery administration procedures which will end you from having one. There are part impacts and problems from that although, it truly is no longer healthy to under no circumstances have a era. you will possibly desire to ask your healthcare expert approximately diverse delivery administration recommendations which could end a era in case you truly need to no longer have one and notice which one may well be genuine for you and what the dangers are from it.

no. your period continues and it has no effect on hormone levels.
you simply lose the ability to conceive if it is done right.
Most tubal ligations are done today with a small section of your fallopian tube removed and both ends cauterized, or sealed to eliminate any possibility the tubes may re-open.

No.....you still have a Uterus...and no you dint become Manly....or have to take hormones. You are just tying off or burning your fallopian tubes...not getting rid of your ovaries or Uterus

No, the Uterus still prepares itself for a fertilized egg and at the end of the cycle still has to shed the lining it prepared.
