What will be the end result of the Evolution of Religion?

Thunder was a god stamping his feet. Whirlpools were mermen swimming in circles. Pantheons were used to explain the multiple goings on in Nature. Then Akenaten narrowed it down to a single god, Amon (or was it Re?) Then the Jews kinda did the same.
Then the old testament was written. Jesus came along and changed everything (God of the Jews became God of Everybody) and God became this white haired old man seated with Jesus on his right hand (and Satan on his left?)
We, as humans, have a problem. We MUST anthropomorphize our creator to understand, (because we have to know what's going on) and so God has 2 feet, 2 hands, white hair, and looks a lot like Santa Claus (friendly old grandpa guy, who slew all the 1st born in Egypt, funny)
God is. I accept that. God may have even been "first cause" that set off the Big Bang. But he made me (us) smart enough to realize we can figure out the Universe, but we don't have to figure him (her, it, them) out. I can handle Not knowing.

God is, and that's cool. but the need to assign human motives to the entirety of the Universe is weak, and I don't have to do it.

The evolution, of course, is taking place inside of man - not God. You are right - God simply IS. Man is in constant flux - shifting and changing as his human mind operates and is in control in this physical plane - until he allows God access and gives of himself - over toGod's Plan for our Return.

We have moved from Grandpa to Truth. Recognize that it is OUR thinking process - NOT God - that is evolving. Let me tell you of your Father/Creator. He is Mind. Spirit-Mind - and He Created the ONLY thing He Knew of - in His Own Experience - MORE of Himself. His Act of Creation is through Thought. Nothing but Thought. His Life Force or Energy is similar to electrical current. Like molecules firing off in Mind at the speed of light, or even a nanosecond ! (This is how a human might describe it.) This Energy or Power couples with His Thought and produces a PROJECTION of that Thought. But, it does not project outside, or beyond Himself. It projects outward and through and into His Own Body Essence. Nothing exists outside of the Creator. His "body" is an essence that fills all space and dimension. Literally, He is the ALL and the Everything. This coupling of Mind Thought and Power creates a Power Surge that manifests into being - His Thought.

Everything He Created is same-ness. Equal in its same-ness. At peace - due to its equality and same-ness. No differences - no oppositions - no limitations exist WITHIN God. Truly, His "Kingdom" is Created Within Himself ; thoughts of desiring His own Self and Will - to communicate with, share the Act of Creation with, and have vessels in which to overflow His Love which is the divine emotion of God within Himself and offered through Creation to His Beloved: His Children. We are individual Minds within Him, yet identical to Him, Created in His own Likeness, and yet JOINED to Him within His body essence ; joined to each other - and Him - through a type of channel that runs through the Minds of the Children of God, connecting their thoughts to each other and to Him, causing a One-Mind effect. We are not God - but, we are OF Him. He knows what He Created- as He knows Himself. He Created a Perfect "Kingdom." No bodies, no bacteria, no viruses, no pain, nothing. . .but You and Me and our brothers. ( Use a human image of the umbilical cord between mother and child to imagine what the channel of the One-Mind, linking all of us to each other and Him might be like. This is just a human image.)

The God of the Old Testament was a man-made description that embodied fear of the Almighty. The story of slaying the first-born in Egypt - an Angry, Jealous, Wrathful, Vengeful God was what Ancient Man perceived - out of his own fear and worry of what had occurred. Some of the Old Testament stories, as you know, are myths or allegories with a great moral point to be made. Some are oral traditions handed down from generation to generation. Get the good points from the Old Testament and yet, hold the information of much of it - lightly, in your mind. God is too loving, to intelligent (pure intelligence - Knowledge) to have killed babies, caused wars - or harmed His Beloved Children in any manner. Mankind does those things - and says God ordained it - or God told them to do it ! (Let's get real !)

Ancient Man's fear of God was due to something that occurred in Eternity where the Father and His Children abided in Perfection. A Thought took shape within the Children - and gained Agreement as it traveled through the One Mind. There was a desire to be acknowledged and loved on an individual basis - rather than generally - as One. This Thought of being Known and, special, rather than a Whole completed by each other - gathered energy - for the Child (One) desired still more love from the Father! We already had his Love flowing through the One Mind as our Nectar - the honey of the Hive - the Ecstacy and what nurtured us. But we had Thoughts of individuality and asked Him to give it to us. "A Loving Father could not grant such a request."

Individuality causes differences. Oppositions. Limitations. " It singles 'out', excludes, and makes alone." Perfection is One-ness. This request by the Children and the obvious answer by the Father was the Great Separation - occuring in Eternity - not the Garden of Eden.

What came of it - is a physical world which arose for us to abide in. Individuality was a lower Thought. God thinks only the highest levels of Thought. We had suddenly caused an inequality between Him and us - due to our lower thinking and demand of Him. We became frightened of ourselves and misperceived His Communication to us - His answer of "No." Nothing really happened - except in the Minds of His thinking Children. We narrowed down the channel of the One Mind, limiting our communications to Him. Limiting our Thoughts of Him in a semi-denial of Him. We JOINTLY caused a dream of the individuality we were seeking: special-ness to substitute for One-ness. God instantly instituted His Plan for our Great Re-Awakening when we would simply become FULLY aware and conscious of Him again. For we never truly left! The holy sons of God simply dreamed with the Power of God flowing through those dream Thoughts and dreamed of a world apart from the Father. Spirit-Mind now functions on a dual level. We are - simultaneously - at Home in God, and we are using our Powerful spirit-minds to Cause a world God would NOT grant. For He Loves. When we have learned enough of individuality, specialness, loss, being opposed and limited in our desires, we will tell Him He was right - we were wrong - in our Thinking. He awaits our Return with Infinite Patience and adoration of His Child. He looks NOT upon our Acts in this dream Thought. He Knows what He Created. He Trusts us, totally. We will "Return."
WE are the Prodigal Sons. There is no judgement upon us. God has no judgement mechanism within His Spirit-Mind.

How are you doing, holy son of God, handling NOT KNOWING?

First, God is not a person....he made Jesus so he could be in the flesh...this is the only time that he was actually a real living person. God is all things, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All you have to have figured out is that you know deep down if or if not you will for surely be going to heaven. All these years that people have spent trying to figure out God, and arguing about what "religion" is right and which is wrong, while God sits up there shaking his head at each one of us. ("his head" is just me using an analogy)
I think he is sad too, because he knows each and every person that will never get to heaven, and that breaks his heart because we are all his children.
John 3:16 explains this the best way, so if your tired of trying to figure it all out, your best bet is just to know that you know once you get to those gates that your name is in the book of life!!

In "The God Delusion", Richard Dawkins suggested just such a hypothesis. Nature, being as cut-throat as it is, is unlikely to let something as wasteful of time and resources as religion survive, unless it provided some sort of advantage. What he postulated was that religion was an unintended side effect of an otherwise useful adaptation -- like the way moths' ability to navigate by using the sun's position also leads it to fly directly into a candle flame. In a like vein, he suggested that a "blind acceptance of authority figures" gene would be a useful way of learning survival skills quickly ("don't eat those berries, they're poisonous"), but could lead to nonsense information ("Sacrifice a goat at the full moon, or the crops won't grow") being passed along with the good.

I suppose my idea of God is different than most...I think, as evolving towards becoming one with that same "god." I think we all do as we learn and learn, through each life time. I think that we are each God. The only part of the Bible I can agree with is almost the first thing that was written..."And God created man in his own image." To me, we are all created as God, we just need to work on the edges to get there. Good luck.

I don't think there will be an end result. Events that can't be explained naturally are explained with the supernatural. As long as there are unknowns, people will find supernatural causes for them. Religion is the default answer amongst the masses until science proves otherwise.

The end result is explained quite well in Revelation, even though symbolic, that the destruction of False religion, Man's opinions of God, and man's governments all will fail in the end. God is about to destroy all of man's goodies, and return the earth to it's purpose.......clean and righteous people will prevail and live here forever. (God said so through John)
