If you knew that you will die in one hour, would you bother go towork, school or whatever you do?

If no, then why do we go to work, school ...etc, knowing that any moment could be the last one?

You can't ask a question like that. Your question started by assuming you do know without any doubt that you will die in an hour. The answer to that question is no, I Wouldn't go to work or any other place. I would surrender myself to God and pray that I be part of His kingdom. But the other question you added afterwords was why does anyone bother to go to work or to school when he is never sure if he is going to survive another hour. This is completely different. The wise saying for cases like that is People is to live for their after life as if we they are dying tomorrow, but to live for life on Earth as if we live forever.

Nah...I'd stay at home and call all my close family members and tell them I love them. Then I would sit down and write my husband a long letter.

That's a good question. I guess the whole point is we do all of these things...go to school, work...etc...because we are trying to survive and make sure that while we live our family is cared and provided for. After we are gone, we have no say on how well they will be taken care of.

If you are working hard and making sure that life insurance bill is paid every month...than you know when you die, your family will be taken care of!
We do it for them...not necessarily for us!

Great question!

If I knew I was going to die in an hour, I'd borrow an obscene amount of money, imbibe in a heinous amount of alcohol and other drugs, get naked and attempt to blow up a government building while having sex with strangers of both sexes. In short, I'd try to fulfill every kink, vice, and reckless fantasy.

Also, in answer to your question, there's a difference of possibly dying but probably living, and most definitely dying. We go to work/school because though tomarrow isn't guaranteed, we still have to act as though it will come.

If I was told I was for sure going to die in one hour I would curse every god I could find. I'm 14 weeks pregnant so my baby couldn't survive outside my womb. I'd be pissed and would rather not know. as for why we go to work is because we're not for sure going to die tomarrow or in an hour and we need a roof over our heads and food in our bellies and the only way to do that to go to work and pay the bills.

Because while every moment COULD be your last, that doesn't mean it will be. Planning for the future is still a necessity of our lives. We need our education and we need to work to make money to have the things we need to survive.

School? haha no. Maybe just to kick some ****. I would definately spend the last hour with friends and family, eating vast amounts of chocolate, and watching scrubs.

I am surprised that all these so called Christians would spend their last hour with God. They should have been spending their life with their God. I am a Christian and believe in God but I would be spending my last hour with my lawyer making sure that everything was in order and making sure that my ashes, after my cremation went to my ex-wife, who has taken me for everything when I was alive should have me in death.

I would not change my plans even if I only had one hour to live. There really would be no point in it.. and calling and telling loved ones goodbye though well meaning only adds more misery and stress to them.

If I know that would be great... I would have a whole hour to ask God to forgive me and if I lived longer I just call in and tell them I will be late!!
