Section 1:Altitude: Imagine that you are driving up into the Rocky Mountains, from Topeka, KS (altitude 800' above sea level) to Eagle, CO (altitude 6500'). You are traveling along 39°N latitude, so the only significant change is in altitude. Describe how you would expect the climate to change as you went up in altitude by about 6,000 feet - making sure to explain why you'd expect this change. I'm primarily interested in temperature changes here, but anything else you could add would be greatly appreciated. The two major climate factors you are going to look at are temperature and humidity--what happens to these two characteristics as you make your trip.

Well the altitude is obvious. The air is very dry in Colorado. The air is very thin. Right now it is only about 70 degrees. You may experience light-headedness and shortness of breath if you go to very high altitudes, so be careful if you are going to do any strenuous activity. Hope this is what you wanted.

I am not completely sure of what the exact answer would be but it did say that they were interested in temperature and humidity. They want to know will the temperature drop or rise and why. Why would the humidity drop or rise? Remember this is on your way up the side of a mountain. Well, I can tell you this! I found this maybe it will help you. http://ebeltz.net/classes/unit-5.html
I am pretty sure that tempature drops and humidity rises, that is why you see snow covered mountains and lots of clouds all at the top

You are supposed to read your textbook and/or notes you took in class (if you are not homeschooled). If you are having trouble with reading comprehension, then I would suggest a tutor.

The question specifically is:

Describe how you would expect the climate to change as you went up in altitude.

What have you learned about this in your coursework?
