The other day I was in a mall. Being Mexican me and some friends decided to have some fun. We accused a gringa (white girl) working in a department store of calling us illegal beaners and she got fired when we complained. We only did it because of what you gringos write on this site and it was fun watching her cry when she left.

Wow who would have known you would have been so upset about this. No it never happened but I bet if I said it was whites complaining about a Mexican you would have been happy.

From the question and the way you described it, it doesn't seem like she actually called you illegal beaners. What's wrong with you?! If you are an illegal immigrant, you should try to become an American citizen the LEGAL way. If you are a legal US citizen, then you have nothing to worry about from people "accusing" you of being illegal or beaners. "Beaner" is a very derogatory word, by the way, and I would NEVER call any Mexican anything other than their name. Back on the point, what you and your friends did was just plain wrong and should never have happened.

That is terrible. You are not helping your cause. And what did she do to you? Do you even know that she was white? Just because she was light skinned? I've been accused of being racist against Mexicans. I have Mexican heritage and speak Spanish (albeit with a Castillian accent- it just sounds better). I'm mainly Native, but my skin is light belying my Jewish ancestry. I've been called 'gringa', 'whitey', 'kkk ho', etc. I've heard alot of ridiculous nonsense from ignorant fools that want to incite violence rather than work towards understanding and sympathy. Do you even know how hard it is to work in a department store? My God, the fact is that she is treated so badly day in and day out by coworkers and customers and then you get her fired!? I truly hope you are just trying to get a rise out of people because if you did this, I hope it haunts you and that that poor girl hunts you down and beats you silly!

That wasn't fair. Just because you read stuff on this site doesn't mean that she feels that way. She could be the nicest person on earth and you did something awful and you should be ashamed. That's what is wrong with society today. There are a lot of prejudice people, but not all are that way. You need to ignore what you read. What you did was worse. You should also go back to the mall and explain so she can get her job back. Think about if someone did that to you. How old are you? Sounds like you need to grow up. Remember, what comes around, goes around.

This is how you behave every day and that is why we respond the way we do. Don't pretend we started it. We LET you come here and immigrate and then you snuck your friends in and abused us. Then you took over our services. Then you denied services to the very generous white people who stood up for you to begin with. You keep it up and you will turn everyone against you, not just those of us who are already aware. Then you will be outnumbered and will have pretty much done our work for us. LOL
