I've had my gall bladders removed about a year ago and after recovery I've notice I've been getting these pain on the right side of my back if I sleep for a long period of time. Is this normal? It feels as if the voided area where the gall bladder used to be somehow causes organs to shift and causes an empty pain there. But once I get up from bed there's no more pain. The pain just won't allow me to sleep in, don't know if this is a good or bad thing....

Well my sister had her Gall Bladder removed about 2 years ago and she has got no pain. So I think it's not from that. And why didn't you contact a doctor about that?!

Well your gall bladder is located just under the breast in the front not the back and it was the size of a golf ball. So I would probably go see a dr. or Chiropractor and have them check for a knot in your back muscles.

If you had key-hole surgery, there's a possibility the bladder burst when the surgeon removed it.Could be a gallstone still lodged. Phone the surgeon and ask if there were any complications,or ask your doctor to check your records, and get him/her to resolve the problem for you. That's what they're there for.Hope you feel better soon
