No. Animal shelters hold them longer than the pound would without putting them to sleep as soon. I understand some circumstances come and you have to give up your pets, but just do not assume the responsibility of a pet owner if the task is too overwhelming. Too many animals are abused and homeless now and shelters are feeling up so much quicker than before.

No it doesn't cost anything but realize that about 90% of the animals in shelters are euthanized.

Our local shelter charges ten dollars for owner give ups. If you give it up they do have the right to euthanize before you walk out the door.

yes.Where I live its $40. its different prices everywhere. if you can't afford to keep the dog, you should get a friend to keep it in his/her yard and report him as a stray. that costs nothing. Just remember to take its tags off.

If you mean to like kennel them call around, I had to put mine in one from Friday until the next Monday and it only cost me $60, and that was the most expensive pen.. If you mean to have them adopted out? Then no, they ask for donations but thats all.

Idk...... DO NOT PUT UR POOR DOGGIE IN A SHELTER!!!!! IT WILL RUIN HIM/HER!!!! give it to a loving home that you know can meet all their needs and keep them happy!!!

Okay, sometimes shelter dogs are the best kind afterwards, but during it,they really suffer-not physically, emotionally.
