Consider also:
Phl 4:3 "... holp those women which laboured with me in the gospel..."
1 Tim 5:1,2 "Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; the elder women as mothers; the ounger as sisters, with all purity."
Consider also, it was John Mark's mother's house where the believers met in Acts 12:12.
And the reference to Phoebe as a deaconess, sent as an official representative of the church of Cenchrea in Romans 16:1 and 27
Some also think that 1 Tim 3:11, rather than referring to a deacon's wife, refers to deaconesses.
To this end, the command that women be silent and learn from their husbands would rather point to the tendancy for women to gossip in Church, which is something we still see in Church today. I also agree that a woman should not be the head pastor of a Church, in accordance with the passage you've given here. She should not have authority over her own husband, just as Eve did not have authority over her husband. A head pastor would, by definition, have authority over her husband and all the men of the congregation. A woman of any lesser authority could still have her husband over her, and would be subject to the head pastor.

The old testomony changed into written at a time even as a lady's position changed into defined as a follower with certain responsibilities of which they did with honor frequently more durable than the mans responsibilities. The custom of the human beings changed into at a particular aspect in its (I hate to apply the be conscious yet) evolution. notwithstanding there are particular data that cannot be skipped over written in the Bible. First is that when a guy and a lady marry they develop into one flesh. As one flesh how can a lady be any a lot less in any class than a guy? also it really seems hypocritical to dismiss books interior of Holy scripture call the e book of Ruth or the e book of Ester. If a lady has not something of fee to share why carry those books in reverence.? also defining the be conscious pontificate, maximum human beings don't love being preached to by using absolutely everyone yet valuable opinion by using absolutely everyone is oftentimes excepted and apreciated. also absolutely everyone can and could prepare their knowledge or bypass it on to their toddlers. after all there changed into verbal replace between the mother of John the Babtist and the Virgin Mary concering their visions and decussion referring to the toddler each and each changed into wearing. How ought to or not that's if one suggested i'll't inform you about my visit because i'm a lady? also in quite some situations the refenence of guy applies to male and woman in biblical words. I personaly have self assurance the guy must be the kin chief even as conceivable.yet he ought to not attempt to silence something from GOD or the Holy Ghost and it ought to all excellent come from the lady because it has in the previous.

Yes I believe it is okay for a woman to teach and preach the gospel. Why? We are not in bibical times any more when men worked all day and women stayed at home with the children. Times have changed and so the teachings of the bible have evolved with the times. Who am I to say that a woman can teach and preach just as well as a man can? If GOD called her to do so then so be it, who knows, it's between that person and GOD. If a woman does preach and teach, and GOD does not want her to, she'll have to deal with HIM. We are not to judge unless we be judged!!!

You have to remember that Paul was writing his letters to different churches for different reasons. We don't know what was happening at the church Timothy was at. But, during that time, women were gaining more and more power and the whole goddess thing was giving them influence. There is a theory that Paul was writing to Timothy and the church in order to correct this situation and to tell the women there to Stop overriding Timothy.
I think this is theory is true. Out of ALL people, who was chosen to tell the disciples of Christ's resurection...a women.

Yes, it is ok. Paul said this bc of the culture of the time. The church had enough problems as it was, so he just said women should be silent to avoid another one. Also, it may have been that women were being chatty, which is like women, they're more social, and so they were distracting the teaching. But there were women in leadership positions in the church. If God calls a woman to be a leader, she should be encouraged to take that position.

Where do you think Timothy got his education? It wasn't from his father.
His Mother and Grandmother taught him and did it quite well, since he became so well respected and loved as a teacher.
He was also Paul's escort and friend because of his knowledge and love of Jehovah.
Stop being negative with the ladies. There are many fine sisters doing God's work and doing it well. Far more than brothers to whom the work was assigned.

I am a Christian and I was always brought up Independent Baptist and our Pastor preached the word from King James Version and we found the Bible to be against female Pastors. I don't agree with woman teaching men in Sunday School either. The Bible is against it.

No woman has ever been called by God to preach the Gospel, look at Eph.4:11-13 it gives you all the ministry, & everyone is in the masculine form.

No I don't believe a woman should preach the Gospel. It is clear from the Epistles of Paul that woman is not allowed neither to teach nor to preach. I even have my own reservation against Joice Meyer herself, if you know who she is. They have recently announced her as a Pastor. I don't accept her teaching although they are directly from the Bible.

I once asked a Catholic priest why women aren't allowed to become priests. He kind of floundered and mumbled and said "er, good question" and then moved on. Hmmm.....
Hey..... question for YOU..... wasn't the Old Testament basically rendered BUNK when the NT came around? Yeah... food rules, women rules, b.s. about homosexuality, all that...... defenestrated.
So why shouldn't women be considered just as worthy and qualified as men to disseminate comforting mythology to the eager masses?
