i had chicken pox twice. it happened within 8 months of one another when i was little.

come to find out at 34, my immune system was affected by HCV (hepatitis c) and was probably why i got the chicken pox twice.

however, if you get the chicken pox twice, sometimes that means the first time you got it, it was not a "good case".

i have had shingles once as an adult too. (immune system bad due to hcv)

You can't have it more than once. Impossible. Once you have it you are immune to have it again because of the antibodies your body has made. WHatever it is you are getting, it is DEFINITELY not chickenpox. It might be shingles, which can result from chicken pox and reappear from time to time.
