Our favorite rice recipe we found on the back of a bag of Mahatma brand Jasmine rice. It's called Thai Royal Rice. It is *awesome*!
It is absolutely incredible, especially if you lightly sautee some diced chicken using the same seasonings, and mix it in with the rice!

Cook the rice, then dump some soy sauce or BBQ sauce in it. That's really easy. If you like Kimchi (Korean cabbage) then you can make a good soup to eat with it. Buy some Kimchi and put it in a pot with some water and tuna fish. Boil it for about 10 minutes and eat it with your rice. It's pretty good. But I guess if I wanted to give the best answer I would find a bunch of recipes on the Internet and cut and paste them for my answer.

We love to make fried rice with beef, chicken, or shrimp, or pork. All you do is make the rice, buy a packet of fried rice mix at the grocery store, and follow the recipe. It calls for peas, diced onion, soy sauce , the meat and rice. So simple and better than the restaurants around here!!
Good luck,
Sheri

First u so one thing n that is keep the rice in water (nnormal water) for about half an hour. Then If U wanna make rice out of it make rice i.e. just by boiling it with a pinch of salt. Else if u want to make something else with less calories then u can make "Idlis" out of it.
Recipe for Idli is a bit long, however u can get it by ssearching it on google.

Arroz Con Pollo (Chicken With Rice):
3 cups water
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
3 bay leaves
2 pounds chicken thighs, skinned
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups coarsely chopped yellow onion
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped green bell pepper
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups uncooked Arborio rice
1 tablespoon Hungarian sweet paprika
Dash of crushed saffron threads
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large Dutch oven, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat.
Remove chicken thighs from broth. Strain broth through a colander into a bowl, and discard solids. Add enough water to broth to equal 3 cups, and set broth mixture aside.
Remove the chicken from bones, and cut meat into bite-size pieces. Discard bones.
Heat the oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Add rice, paprika, and saffron; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the broth mixture, wine, salt, and pepper; cook 6 minutes or until half of liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Stir in chicken. Cover and bake at 325° for 12 minutes or until rice is just tender and liquid is nearly absorbed. Sprinkle each serving with chopped parsley.
Yield: 7 servings (serving size: 1 cup)

Try brown rice! Its even better for you than white rice. Its nuttier in flavor, which is a plus, but it takes longer to cook, lol.
Steam some veggies, like asparagus, or broccoli, and add in some protein by adding some fresh seafood like shrimp and/or scallops. Or saute some chicken and use that!
Delicious!
Good luck on your diet!

I have just the thing for you . What you should do is get some good chicken breast that is skinless and boil or bake it until it is done. Once your chicken it done you can drain some of the broth that you have made. By the way when you boil(or bake)the chicken, please at some celery, bell paper of any kind, and any seasonings that you think that you would like to taste. You don't want your chicken to taste bland. But any ways, they have a nice cream selection by Chambles-you know the company who makes tomato soup. They have a cream of chicken and a cream of celery that would go nice with your fresh chicken and broth. You can add this chicken and semi-gravy mixture to your lovely rice. I love this dish and it is a guilt free healthy food.

Try a little lemon juice and dill added into the rice. One thing to be careful of though is white rice contains alot of carbohydrates which turn into fat. Use white rice in moderation.
