I understand what you mean. I am a very very honest man, Most of all my family is God fearing and the bible warns against stealing. I would have shipped to you when you get her you can pay me But right now i and my wife have not been paid our salary so we are broke, we only feed on the food stuffs we have at home. the shipping fee cost $200 I will have her shipped to you first thing tomorrow morning. Go ahead and pay for the shipping which is $200 BUT you have to promise and garrantee me that as soon as you receive her tomorrow you will send me my balance $200.

As soon as the payment is made send me the mtcn number, senders name and address so that as soon i wake up i will check my email and go have her shipped to you.

Thanks,
David

With there being so many scams in this world it scares me to just pay the money bc what if i don't get her. I'm not saying you're a scam but I don't know you and you dont know me. I talked to my husband last night and he said that if you mail us the dog first I can give you the money afterwards. We are newly weds, just got married in May '06, we just started learning how to even pay bills bc we lived with our parents before we got married, and have just started our life and we cannot afford to lose $400. We are christians and very honest. I have $400 sitting in my bank account waiting for this sweet pup but I just want to make sure that if you really want to give your puppy to good people who will take great care of her and give her lots of love, than we are your people! Please understand where I am coming from. If you cannot give the dog to us first and us give you the money after we receive her, than we are unable to purchase her. I'm so sorry. I guess I'm just paranoid, which isn't always a bad thing. Please let me know what you can do. I will be very upset if you are unable to do it that way, but I will understand too. Also, you gave me your phone number, but it is very long, your number should be 10 numbers not 13. Thanks so much!!

Please! I want to buy Prisca so bad!,
Mrs. Erin Martin

P.S. If you do decide to do it that way, than does she have any health problems I need to know about??

This is a scam that has been running in the San Antonio paper. The one I caught was for an English Bulldog. In fact, there was another one there today.

I reported them to the internet crimes division of the FBI. Seriously.

Don't send them any money!

Okay, even if this wasn't a scam (which it is, especially if he solicited you directly or thru an ad) why on earth would you want to put that poor little dog through a transatlantic flight, quarintine (no papers that an unemployeed Nigirian can produce will get around it) and all the associated perils? Lots of dogs are never the same after being shipped, especially small nervous ones. If he can't keep the dog, he surely could find someone in his own country to give it to. Don't let him manipulate you! Not to mention, if you did get the dog and something was wrong with it, you would have no recourse to get your money back and would be stuck with huge medical bills to boot.
Tell the guy that you can't afford it after all and then go to a local shelter or rescue group, or even a reputable breeder and get your dog.
Report the guy if you want, but don't send money!

My Daddy taught me one thing, when someone starts telling you how honest and God fearing watch out. First two lines of his email. Also take note of the english used and the way in which the words are associated; "we only feed on the food stuffs" and "As soon as the payment is made send me the mtcn number, senders name and address so that as soon i wake up i will check my email and go have her shipped to you."

Your typical american would not use foodstuffs in a sentence, very prevalent in Africa and Asia though. ALso the last sentence is a typical scammers closing.

What you should do is report hi and look to get your puppy from elsewhere.

Just read and answered your previous question. It's a scam. Once I saw he was from Lagos and read the text I was sure. Please don't send the monay.

Don't do it! If this person won't contact you by phone (which is why the phone number had too many numbers ) then don't trust it. I was looking on Yahoo pets for an english bulldog in my state so that my husband and I could drive to go get it. So the only ads I replied to were ones within Florida and every reply talked about them being "Christian" or "God fearing" people. And even though their ad said that they were in the state every single ad I replied to (which was about 6 different ones) said that they had just recently located to West Africa/Nigeria. They all told me that the shipping was only about $300 and when I called a pet shipping company they told me it would be about 5 times that price. They are all scams. I even found the same picture of the dog on two different peoples ads. If you can't afford to lose the money then don't do it!!

Hi there! I saw your last post too, and sincerely hope you haven't sent any money. People have been going to sites like dogster.com, stealing pictures of the cutest dogs, and posting them on sites like puppyfind.com . It's been a hot topic on Dogster. Plus it seems that all they do in Nigeria is scam people--I think it must be their #1 moneymaker (I had someone from there try to scam me over a desk I sold on Craigslist). Unfortunately, the police/mail service/etc. can't do anything about it because the Nigerian government refuses to help us. Do not send any money, and realize that your cute little puppy is probably in a terrific home being spoiled rotten by an overindulgent Dogster mom. Good luck on your search, but I do recommend that you stay local :).

SCAM SCAM SCAM DO NOT FALL FOR IT. REPEAT SCAM if you send the money after all the warnings you deserve to be ripped off. Anyone can claim they are christians and would never steal it is part of the con. Do not send the money at all. You will be taken for a fool.

If they can't use pay pal or a secure paying system it is usually a scam. Go to the dog pound, contact police dept. if they have any they are ready to retire... they are free and usually the best. Unless you plan to breed. If so buy close to home. And they usually will spay free and have had shots. Be safe or tell them to borrow money send dog trust you. trust goes both ways you will wait till they have it and overnight it to them. these days it can be wired in an hour or so. Good Luck:-)
