+ Drugs +

Many beneficial drugs have been discovered in God's creation of the plant world. And many more are waiting to be discovered.

Almost any drug can be used to harm instead of heal.

It is our choice to do good instead of evil with the gifts of God.

+ Alcohol +

Alcohol is another drug that can be used in moderation or abused.

Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter." So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine, ... (John 2:7-9)

Wine is used throughout both the Old and New Testaments. The first recorded miracle of Jesus was to turn water in wine at the wedding in Cana.

It is true that we should not become drunk but used in moderation, wine is a biblically acceptable beverage.

Go, eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart, because it is now that God favors your works. (Ecclesiastes 9:7)

What would Jesus do? Jesus had a cup of wine with dinner.

If some people wish to totally forego alcohol to eliminate the temptation to over indulge, that's fine. But I don't think they should force that unbiblical teaching onto others.

+ With love in Christ.

1) Tobacco is useful when used for what it was
meant for.
a) Ground Tobacco mixed with a small
amount of water can be put on an insect
sting.
b) Tobacco is a natural insecticide.

2) Fermentation was not created so much as it
is the result of death. When something
ferments it is rotting.

3) Marijuana is a medicinal herb, just like
Tobacco, it is used improperly.

4) Coca is also a medicinal that is misused.

Everything God made is good, and useful, when
used as He intended.

The plants alone are harmless. The Hemp plant can be used to make many things including clothes rope and sandles to name a few. the coca plant can be used to chew to freshen breath. As for tobacco....I don't know of any other uses. but god didn't make in fermentation process. Just because th eplants are there it doesn't mean they are being used the way they were meant to be.

You must remember that we live, not in the perfect world that God created, but a fallen world corrupted by sin.
This means that parts of creation are now seen in a distorted and negative form of what was intended (eg the disease-spreading mosquito.)
Also, some good things which are used to alleviate pain and suffering can be, and are, abused; that is the result of sinful humanity, it is not down to God.
One day (soon?) God will re-create to restore all things to his original, perfect intention. When that happens then questions like this will be irrelevant.

Originally these plants and many more like them had, and still have a roll to play in the Eco system. Its people who abuse them and give them bad press that are to blame.
When have you ever seen a tobacco plant jump out the ground and kill someone?

There is nothing inherently wrong with those plants. The "wrong" part of it is the misuse of the plant to abuse the human body.

Likewise, fermentation is little more than decay. It is a natural process.

God created many things for man. It's up to man to use them wisely. Man can make a decision on each and everything he does. If he wants to use alcohol or illegal drugs to excess, it is his choosing. He can choose if he wants a religion or not and what that religion will be. If man makes the wrong choice he can always blame George Bush for it.

I am not sure about the reason for this question. IF it is to prove a point that use is fine, then so be it. I agree, in moderation. I wonder more about why God created the color Orange.

All the things you listed can be used medicinally without being abused.

Blessings )O(

EDIT:
(Fermentation would make wine from fruit that would otherwise be wasted with lack of refrigeration.

Well God made all these things for a reason, its just man that decides to use them for the wrong ways. Everything that was put on this earth was for a reason. You just have to use your sense.
