suck it up and say Hi. ask him something pertaining to the class if you are at a loss for a conversation starter.

I've never heard of a guy being offended when a good-looking girl tried to talk to him. Just smile and say "Hi." Also, the person who suggested asking for help is right on. That's another good way to break the ice.
