Or intolerant to not tolerate the intolerant? (sorry a bit of a tongue-twister).

Can we use these words without throwing the label back on ourselves? Or is that dipping too far into sugary political correctness?

labels are ways of categorizing the world, we need to do this because that is how our brains understand... we can only understand ourselves by seeing and distinguishing what we are not...

to answer your first questions... yes, if you judge someone as judgemental then you are yourself being judgemental... yes, if you act with intolerance (no matter to whom) you are intolerant... but those are the very definition of the words... same with calling someone "insolent"

but that IS pretty far off into the flowery, whirly twirly word of interpretations and philosophy

Yes, I think it's judgemental to call someone judgemental.
As for tolerance - I think it's the most overrated virtue, ever.
Acceptance and love, yes. But tolerance - I don't think life always calls for that. Should we have tolerated Hitler? Should we tolerate bullies and people who are sexist and .....lots of other examples? I'm not saying we should judge these people - of course not - but we can't just let them walk over us and over other people... To me, tolerance is this wishy-washing politically correct attitude that says "yes I tolerate everyone" without actually bothering to get to know everyone - it's very generalized and it's a cop-out. There. That's my rant. :)

it is okay to be judgmental. you would make a judgment about weather or not to get into a serial killers car. Remember we are called to follow Christ. and though Christ cared for sinners he never tolerated sin.

Are you a christian if you call someone a christian?
Are you wise if you call someone wise?
