Formula or breastmilk is required, but if your baby can handle it you can add some baby cereal to his/her diet. Just a little to start with to see how he reacts (spitting up, constipation, etc.)

Feeding your baby at 3 months isn't dangerous... it's NECESSARY! Ha-ha!
Just be careful what you choose to feed him/her. Even some "baby safe" foods... like those cookies that are supposed to dissolve .. aren't all that great. My daughter, at 4-months old, choked on one of those, and I had to do the Heimlich!
Stick to the "runny foods," baby formula, rice cereals and whatever else your child's pediatrician suggests! Not only could your child choke, he or she may be allergic to something.

I was told by an old farm doctor that once my kids got a tooth showing that they can try out simple foods, like cheerios, small pieces of toast, cooked greenbeans,, and my children all got a tooth right around 5 months old. Now the only precautino I would add to this is make sure your child isnt allergic to certain kinds of food and that your child has a tooth. Other wise I gave my children diluted cereal in thier baby bottles, it seemed to satisfy them longer.

i dont know about dangerous....unless you are feeding her finger-foods. But generally, feeding a baby before 6 months can cause premature food allergies. Why feed your baby now? You like stained clothing and messy floors????

i assume you mean starting solid foods? simply call your doc if you feel your baby is not being satisfied anymore on breast milk or formula and they can give you guidelines of when and what you should start feeding them. some things are dangerous as your baby can have an allergic reaction (peanut products and eggs to name a couple).

Most pediatricians recommend delaying supplementing milk until 5 month and be sure to start before 7 months. Something about a study on brain development i think

Stick with thinned out (with formula) baby cereal. No steaks or baked potatos yet.
Make sure the baby is still getting plenty of milk or formula they need a lot of fluids at that age.

a little baby rice cereal is fine. I used my breast milk and mixed it up. My boys were so big and hungry all the time, but try only a couple times a day. Maybe mid morning and bed time! Don't forget lots of water too!!!

cereal mixed with formula is not dangerous, but don't over do it.

1/4 tsp. cereal with 1 tsp formula to start and make sure your baby can sit upright while feeding

if by "feed" you mean solid foods. i would say that the baby might not be able to properly break down the food that you are giving him/her.so you may want to stick to fomula and or breast a little longer until the digestive system is better established.
