My first thought was money. Maybe it's because he is nice to her??

Most vets are not just out to get your money. If they said that surgery was a viable option, it most likely is. If the vet you're using has been the vet that's treated your dog for years, I would trust that opinion. You're always welcome to get a second opinion, and sometimes that can help. If two vets say the surgery would be a good option, I would go for it, if you can afford it. If your dog is in good health (besides the tumor) and doesn't have a chronic condition (like heart problems or an immune system disorder), surgery can give them a few more years. When I was a tech, we performed surgery on older animals fairly often. The procedures and medications have come a long way, and the animals handle surgery better. I would make sure a good blood work panel was done before hand, just to make sure there aren't any other underlying issues, and I would discuss after care and follow up with the doctor before hand, so you know about what you're getting into. Most vets don't spend years in medical school and acquire a ton of debt just to get money. There are so many easier ways to make money. Anyone who works in that field for more than two years does it because they love their job and genuinely want to keep your pet healthy and happy. It's not always cheap, but they usually have your animal's health as their top priority. If you ever feel they don't, it's your choice to have a second opinion done. Hope this helps, and I hope your dog recovers.

Been there got the T shirt, and am still there,
am 53 yr male and love 35yr woman,we see, txt each other.

Y would anybody think that age matters, as in the question `interested in a 54 yr OLD man`

you b the only one that thinks 54 is old, at just wot age should people stop being interested in each other, and there is a hell of a lot more to life than sex and money, u got to consider lifestyles, personalities people are attracted to each other for loads of reasons, her boob size and his dick size aint usually the basis for a long lasting relationship as both will sag over the years

Because a good older man knows how to take a female and really make her feel like a lady. He also knows how to take that lady and really make her feel like a woman. It's a bit like playing a musical instrument, who would you rather employ, an experienced maestro of a musician who can make the place rock or some young dick head who only knows a few basic chords?

Also older men are often better at conversation. A man of experience can hold an intelligent conversation on a wide variety of subjects. The older man is often more romantic, caring and considerate than younger men are.

Young men have the good looks and younger equipment but older men know through experience how to use that equipment.

The older the fiddle the better the tune.

Love? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if she sees him as a beautiful person, why shouldn't she be with him. I do wish people would stop being so cynical, the age gap is not that great, at 54 he's not waiting for god! Age is just a number if the connection between mind, bdoy & soul is there

Are they dating or just spending time together as friends? It doesn't sound like dating in your question. The reasons that come to mind are she is lonely, he gives her lots of attention, he does favors for her, he has "stuff" she likes to use like a spa or swimming pool, he's got connections, he listens to her problems, he does chores at her house for her. He in return gets the opportunity to spend time with a pretty young woman and boost his ego at the same time.

If she is happy then leave her alone and let her find her own way in this relationship. It may be she finds the man to be charming and true to his word, without playing games like many younger men sometimes do.

Because she has been hanging out with "meat heads" her entire life, and this guy is the first person that has ever really "listened" to her.

Things much more than looks (and sometimes even money) matter to women in their thirties... If you didn't know that, you probably don't know much about women...

Most probably is a gentleman who gives her more respect than a younger man would. Age makes no difference when you are deeply in love.

I was in love with a man 19 years older than me. For a while. It didn't work out.
I just found him incredibly attractive. He was fit and healthy, had all his hair. Still think fondly of him.
